DISPOSITIF DE DISTRIBUTION DE MARCHANDISES.
(Invention: Monsieur R. DANTROU)
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

GOODS DISTRIBUTION DEVICE.
(Invention: Mr. R. DANTROU)
The object of the invention is a device for the distribution of goods which can form part of a coin-operated machine, in particular for the distribution of goods in the form of loaves or packaged in bottles, bundles or packages which do not always have exactly the same dimension.
The goods distribution device according to the invention is characterized by a helical cam, the pitch of which is equal to a value situated between the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
single value and double value of the thickness of the goods to be distributed, measured in the direction of the axis of the helical cam, by a driving device actuated at each distribution operation, to make a half turn to the helical cam, and by an oblong bin or cradle whose width is equal to a value between the double value and the quadruple value of the width of the goods to be distributed and in the length of which the helical cam is arranged so to allow the goods to be placed between the helical cam and the walls of the bin or cradle.
The invention is explained below with respect to some examples of embodiments shown in the accompanying drawing. In the drawing, fig.l shows a plan view of the end of a container with a helical cam.
Figures 2 and 3 show sectional elevation views of tanks with a helical cam.
In fig.l, a helical cam is constituted by a t8le 1 bent in a helix, fixed on a central shaft 2. This helical cam is maintained by means of bearings 3 in an oblong container, the walls of which have been shown. side 4 and the end edge 5 of its bottom. Between the shaft 2 of the helical cam and the walls 4 of the oblong container are arranged goods 6 on either side of the axis of the helical cam. A drive device, (for example a gear motor controlled by an auxiliary cam,) not shown, is actuated at each distribution operation to make
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
turn the helical cam a half turn, for example in the direction of arrow 7.
During the rotation of the helical cam, the goods are pushed in the direction of the arrow 8 and cross the ridge 5 of the bottom to then fall into an evacuation corridor, not shown. It is easy to see that the device thus designed prevents fraud by a hand which could have entered through the opening beyond the edge 5. This guarantee against fraud can be maintained, even if the dimensions of the goods are not strictly identical and vary in considerable proportions such as those existing for example between the circles 6 and 6 'representing sections of bottles.
The tubs or cradles can be made either of solid sheet metal or of a lattice construction. They can also have guides 9 for the goods (Fig. 2). The guides may coincide with a special shape of the tubs, for example with a step 10 extending the entire length of the tub. In order to maintain the advantages of the invention, and in particular fraud resistance, the pitch of the helical cam and the width of the container must be appropriate for the goods to be divided. If the cam is stiff enough, it is not necessary to accompany it with a shaft over its entire length; it then suffices to provide, for example, two shaft ends at its ends to hold it in bearings.
