" Corps de chauffe"
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

" Heater"
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to a heating body constituted by a pipe register and by 'deflector bodies which are arranged in front of and / or behind the vertical pipe.
Heating bodies are known in which @ vertical pipe and deflector body are provided on their corresponding sides with projections facing upwards.
The protrusion of one part is made in the form of a fork er @ e the wings of which fits a core of the other part of the heating body. Such an assembly was made with the wings of the fork d 'first spread outwards. By inserting the corresponding core, the fork wings are cold compressed. The connection is then obtained by rolling, pressing, flanging, hammering, etc. When the wings of the fork are parallel to the corresponding web, the connection of the fork to the web is also undertaken by cold deformation. Such an assembly of a heating body pipe with a deflector body undoubtedly makes it possible to achieve a fixed mechanical assembly. The installation of such an assembly is however laborious, in particular when it is done on site.
Cold work does not give the guarantee of having a suitable fit everywhere between the areas of the fork and the web.
It may frequently occur that there are still inters- tices between the corresponding surfaces of the wings of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
fork and web either locally or over the entire height. The heat-transmitting link is thus significantly affected because a gap of 1/10 mm already makes the heat transmission worse. This results in poor performance of the heat exchanger.
Other known fields are sheet steel heating bodies. provided with a cover plate covering the gap between two neighboring elements and fixed to the edges to be welded of the elements. The cover plate adapts to the edges by a U-shaped fold. The width of this fold is calculated so that the wings of the U enclose the edge. The purpose of the cover plate is to cover the sharp edge of the edges of the heating element element to prevent injuries, especially in schools. Seen in section, the cover sheet is held in the form of a roof so that the wings of the fold can join with a certain elasticity. It is also possible to connect the U-fold to the element of the heating body by spot welding or joint welding.
By such a method it is hardly possible to cause the edges of the cover sheet to match the edges to be welded in a proper manner.
The aim of the covering is therefore not achieved in this way since, if the corresponding surfaces are not in direct contact, good heat transmission is not obtained in an exchanger. When the reopening plate is subjected to pressure from the outside, for example when someone leans against it, the belt formed by the wings of the fold around the edges to be welded may be affected, which may also decrease. the contact for heat transfer. The cover plate therefore rather acts as a cover instead of constituting a part of the heat exchanger.

The object of the invention is to provide a connection between the heating body pipe and the deflector body which satisfies the requirements of a heat transmission which is always good. In a heating body comprising a vertical pipe and a deflector body, in which a fork grips a core of the heating body inserted between the wings of the fork, the invention is characterized in that the core, and the body carrying the core, qutt is enclosed in the fork, is provided with a device serving as locking,. protrusions or the like, and in that the fork and the soul peuver.- '; be placed on top of each other by pressure.
Such an embodiment makes it possible to obtain an easy assembly of the deflector body and the pipe of the heating body ensuring good heat transmission. Once placed on the web, the ends of the fork can no longer be 'detached by external influences. The fork wings are sort of locked in their proper position on the web. To ensure an irreproachable contact surface it is not necessary to resort to a subsequent treatment (such as cold deformation, etc. - The parts are only pressed against each other.
The locking of the ends of the wings of the fork therefore keeps the assembly in a suitable position to ensure good heat transmission. * In addition, the deflector body with the forks are made of rigid non-elastic material which allows to place the parts on top of each other by pressure and to keep them pressed against each other.
Locking can be done in different ways. The ends of the fork wings are
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
advantageously chamfered outwards and take in grooves in the core or in similar members formed in the appropriate position. This device has the particular advantage that the ends of the wings of the fork, when the latter is pressed on the web, are assembled by constraint on the median plane. The ends of the wings of the fork could also be provided with projecting slats disposed inwardly which engage in corresponding grooves on the core. Also in this case, the fork wings are kept in a state of pressure.
The invention will be described by examples of embodiments illustrated in the figures appended hereto, in which: - Figures 1 and 2 show in section the parts of a heating body consisting of a vertical pipe and a deflector body .
- Figures 3 and 4 illustrate another embodiment of the locking device of the wings. fork to the soul of the other part of the heated body.
The heating body pipe 1 is provided with a core 2 arranged vertically. The deflector body 3 has a fork 4 arranged vertically. The wings 5 of the fork 4 have ends chamfered outwards, for example at 45. The pipe 1 has at the foot of the core 2 notches 7 in which the wings 5 of the fork come to make. The wings 5 of the fork are thus pressed on the web 2 so that a wing of the fork cannot detach from the web when, for example, any force is applied to the outer face of the body 3. L '' suitable assembly between wings 5 and web 2
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
is further improved by the fact that the inner surfaces 8 of the fork wings are slightly tapered towards the ends.
The pipe of the heating body and the deflector body are advantageously stamped parts. The parts of the heating body thus constitute a rigid body, which makes it possible to create pressure zones when the fork is pressed on the core. The pipe 1 may also have, in the plane of the register, wings 9 which form a single piece with the pipe.
Figures 3 and 4 show an embodiment in which the wings 5a of the fork 4a are provided with rectangular slats 10 arranged inwardly of the wings. These slats take behind 'ribs 11 provided at the bottom of the core 2a with which the pipe 1a is provided. Even under the effect of heat, the fork wings cannot move apart so that good heat transfer resulting from the pressure seats is maintained at all times.
In the embodiments described, the fork is located on the deflector body, but it may however also be provided on the pipe of the heating body in which case the deflector body is provided with the core.
