Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 f

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

  "Floor or wall covering plate, in particular mosquito parquet" ..

   The present invention relates to a floor or wall covering plate, and in particular a mosaic parquet plate.

   It is known to produce a floor and wall covering plate by means of several jointed strips fixed to a substratum or an underlayer of insulating material, for example of agglomerated cork.

   The agglomerated cork being impermeable, part of the solvent contained in the glue used for fixing to the ground, causes swelling and, consequently, lifting, from where a very harmful lack of adhesion at the points where they occur,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 f
The present invention aims to remedy this drawback. deny,
For this purpose, this floor or wall covering plate, in particular mosaic parquet, consisting of several adjacent strips fixed to a suestratum or an underlay of insulating material, is characterized in that the series of very close holes are perches in the insulating plate which serves as the substratum, these series of holes being arranged along the junction lines of the constituent lamellae of the plate.

   The material constituting the substratum of the covering plate according to the invention can consist of any thermal and / or sound insulating material, for example an agglomerated product, such as agglomerated cork, a plastic material, a fibrous material. , etc ...

   The holes which are drilled in the insulating support constituting the substratum, can obviously have any shape, conch, circular, square, etc ...

   These holes serve a double purpose. First, they allow the liquid components of the adhesives to be evacuated through the holes made in the substratum, along the periphery of the lamellae fixed on the substratum. There is indeed communication say @. te, through these holes, between the adhesive layer and the atmosphere, which ensures good evacuation of the liquid elements contained in the adhesive.

   The dimension of the insulating plate forming the sub3tra- tum is preferably slightly smaller than that of the plate formed by the adjacent lamellae, in order to leave a certain space between this substratum and that of the neighboring plate, and a communication with the 'atmosphere by the gap between the lamellae.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   Furthermore, the rows of holes drilled in the substratum additionally provide the latter with a certain flexibility, due to the elimination of the material from the location of the holes. The various rows of holes in fact constitute areas of weakening and less resistance to bending, which allows the substratum to more easily follow the unevenness of the surface on which it is placed.

   The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the present invention.

   Figure 1 is a view of the underside of a mosaic parquet slab.

   Figure 2 is a sectional view taken along line II of Figure 1.

   FIG. 3 is a view on a smaller scale of the upper face of the mosatqua parquet board.

   The mosaic parquet slab shown is made up of sixteen small strips of wood 1, the width of which is a quarter of the length, and the length half that of the slab, so that each square slab is formed of four plate elements, also square, whose lamellae orientations are: orthogonal. These strips 1 are attached adjacent to a plate 2 of insulating material:, for example of agglomerated cork, which constitutes the substratum of the mosaic parquet board.

   Under the underside of the lamellae 1, the substrate 2 is pierced right through with series of closely spaced holes 3, this series of holes being arranged along lines corresponding to those of junction of the various lamellae 1.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   The dimensions of the plate 2 constituting the insulating substrate are slightly smaller than those of the plate formed by the lamellae 1, which. therefore overflows its four sides.

   It is, moreover, of course 'that the embodiment of the invention which has been described above with reference to the appended drawing has been given purely as an indication and in no way limiting and that numerous modifications can be made without for this, we deviate from the scope of the present invention; it is thus that the constituent strips of the plate can have any shape appropriate to the desired decorative effect,
