Pompe électromagnétique à piston coulissant.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Electromagnetic sliding piston pump.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to an electromagnetic sliding piston pump for transporting liquid which finds use as a drive for water jets, toy backs, model installations and the like.
An electric sliding piston pump is already known in which is movably placed a pump piston subjected to permanent magnetization, having its north blades and south poles lying at its ends in a magnetized alternating field. Depending on the frequency of the alternating field and the change in polarity associated with it, the pump piston is moved in a reciprocating motion, in a passage duct surrounding the piston. The passage duct which is made of a magnetically indifferent material, for example glass, porcelain or the like, is closely surrounded by the magnet coil connected to an alternating current source.
The piston itself is drilled so that the liquid can pass through it right through. A shut-off valve provided in the pump piston guarantees that a determined direction of advance or flow is maintained.
In addition, it is known to form electric sliding piston pumps in which the magnetization coil is housed in an annular body which acts as a stator. In order to be able to conduct the magnetic flux through the pump piston, the inner wall of the annular stator is interrupted and the existing breach is replaced by a magnetically indifferent material suitable for the inner wall. To ensure operation, however, it is necessary to cover the usual internal wall of the stator

of a thin magnetic layer, for example applied galvanically. For this pump, it is also necessary to provide an outlet position of the pump piston that always remains the same.
For this purpose, use is made of a spring tensioned beforehand in the cylinder of the pump piston, in one of the directions of movement of the latter.
While owing to the absence of a body consisting of a magnetizable material surrounding the coil, the sliding piston pump mentioned at the beginning is in poor performance and hence low output; in the other embodiment, the yield is improved but yet the technical expense is greatly increased.
In addition, sliding piston pumps are already known in which the magnetization coil is surrounded by an annular permanent magnet while the passage duct also consists of a magnetically indifferent material.
In this mode of construction, the efficiency of the sliding piston pump is further improved without, however, achieving optimum transport capacity.
The object of the invention is to increase the transport capacity or the flow rate of the sliding piston pump.
The result of this is to improve the efficiency of the pump so that an optimum flow rate is reached as far as possible without any essential increase in technical expenditure.
According to the invention, the solution is obtained because on the magnetically indifferent passage duct, two or more coils connected in series with the same direction of winding are each surrounded by permanent magnets and because the front surfaces located one opposite the other, of the same polarity, are separated from each other
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
by magnetizable intermediate discs.
According to other characteristics of the invention, the permanent magnets are shaped like annular magnets.
Further, the hole of the intermediate disc for receiving the passage duct is provided with slits or grooves so that the cross section of the intermediate disc is reduced to at least half at two places facing each other. the other.
Finally, according to another feature, a stop valve is placed in the passage duct in front of the pump piston.
The invention is shown in the drawings, in an exemplary embodiment.
Figure 1 is a schematic sectional view of the sliding piston pump.
Figure 2 is a plan view of the intermediate disc.
The sliding piston pump consists of two permanent annular magnets 3 which each surround the magnet coil 2. The holes in the coil bodies allow a passage duct 1 to pass in which the piston pump 5 is located. Permanent ring magnets 3 there is an intermediate disc 4, while the front sides of the permanent ring magnets 3 as well as the magnet coils 2 are covered by pole plates 6.
The hole 9 of the intermediate disc 4 serves to allow passage of the passage duct 1. The cross section of the intermediate disc 4 is reduced in the middle at least of half, by two slots 10 so that the magnetic flux through the piston 5 of the pump is improved. The piston 5 of the pump is guided in a known manner in the passage duct 1
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
by piston rings 8 and it is provided on its outlet side with a shut-off valve 7. In front of the piston 5 of the pump in the passage duct 1 is placed another shut-off valve 11 so that 'a pressure drop at; the nozzle is prevented during the movement of the piston executed in the direction opposite to that of transport.
The magnet coils 2, which are connected in series, have the same direction of winding and they are supplied by an alternating voltage.
By this device, the forces of the magnetic fluxes of the magnetization coils are added. As a result of the annular magnets; permanent 3 oriented towards each other, there occurs in the intermediate disc 4 a doubling of the magnetic flux.
This results in a substantial increase in the flow rate of the sliding piston pump. Thus, with the new device, a maximum jet height of 750 mm is reached. with a power of 4.8 YA, which constitutes a value which exceeds by three times the maximum value attainable so far.
