Distributeur automatique.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Vending machine.
The invention relates to an automatic dispenser which, during the introduction of a coin or the operation of a coin mechanism, delivers, from a cooled reserve enclosure, a portion. of packaged food, which has been, heated using a heater.
Automatic distributors of this type are known, for example for the distribution of hot sausages or other products of this kind. In these known automatic dispensers, the heating of the dispensed object takes place outside the cooled count. The aim is to prevent heat from escaping into the cooled chamber when heating the products *
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
However, this arrangement has one drawback:
the alimenta must remain in an uncooled enclosure, to be heated and distributed and, under unfavorable conditions, they may spoil or the automatic distributor must include a special device which, after the introduction of the coin brings the product from the cooled enclosure to the heater, which takes longer.
The invention obviates this drawback. According to the invention, the heating device is provided with a generator of very high frequencies and a conductor for supplying the high frequency energy to the products to be heated, while the conversion of the high frequency energy into heat takes place. performs inside the cooled enclosure. Since the high frequency heating is carried out locally in the food, the heat given to the environment is practically zero. Or the heat transmission can be reduced sufficiently by wrapping the food in a heat-insulating envelope. .
Therefore, the stay of the heating part of the device inside the cooled enclosure does not alter the temperature prevailing in the cooled enclosure. The essential advantage is that the food is ready for heating and can occupy the interior of the cooled enclosure, the location, intended for heating before the coin is introduced.
The description of the appended drawing, given by way of non-limiting example, will make it clear how the invention can be implemented, the features which emerge both from the text and from the drawing, of course, forming part of the invention.
The device comprises two driven wheels 1 and 2, each of which moves a series of casings 3 and 4 towards a heater 5. Each casing contains a portion of food 6 and a certain number of casings are linked in a chain by bands. hoses or other devices of this kind. The two envelope chains 3 and 4 are each housed in a separate box, and 8; preferably these
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
boxes can be taken out of the device. The two wheels 1 and 2 are driven by individual electric motors 9 and 10.
Each wheel turns each time only a quarter of a turn, that is to say an angle corresponding to the pitch of the polygonal periphery, here square, of the wheel. The sides of the wheels have a length corresponding to the pitch of the chain, so that each side of the wheel can accommodate a wrapped portion of the chain.
At each intermittent rotational movement, each wheel therefore moves the corresponding chain over a distance corresponding to the length of an envelope.
The heater $ comprises two practically parallel walls, 11 and 12, arranged opposite one another, but it can also be constituted by a closed channel along its lateral sides and open at its ends. . In one of the side walls 12 of the heating member 5 is arranged a member 13 which radiates high frequency electromagnetic energy, for example a wave radiator, and this member 13 is connected, by the 'via a waveguide or a coaxial cable 14, to a high frequency generator 15 of a ccnnue nature (this generator is only shown schematically in the drawing).
The frequency of the generator and the dielectric properties of the envelopes are chosen so that the heat dissipation in the food is concentrated inside the envelopes, without the envelope itself being notably heated.
On the outer side of the displacement wheels 1 and 2 are provided projections 16, arranged so that the chains of envelopes can not slide down the wheels by their own weight. Between each wheel 1 and 2 and the corresponding magazines 7 and 8, the envelopes are guided along the edge of a guide plate 17 or 18, each envelope occupying automatically, under the effect of its own weight, the required position relative to the wheel.
For each wheel 1 and 2, there is also provided on the upper side of the corresponding driven wheel, a knife 19-20 which can be driven into a groove 21 formed in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
wheel to cut the strip between the first envelope in the chair and the next envelope, so as to detach the first envelope from the chain.
Under the heater 5 is disposed a movable stopper 22 which retains the casing in the heater. The member 22 can be removed with the aid of an electromagnet 23 or the like, which releases the outlet and the casing falls, by its own weight, into a bag or box. 24 which can exit through the front wall of the device.
The two magazines 7 and 8, the driven wheels 1 and 2 and the heating member 5 are preferably housed in an enclosure 25 inside the casing of the device, which casing thermally insulates the enclosure by in relation to the atmosphere.
Inside the enclosure 25 are arranged a cooling member 26 and a heating member 27. The temperature inside the enclosure 25 is maintained at a low value, practically constant, for example 0 C, this which eliminates the risk of the food in the vending machine going bad.
The high frequency generator 15 is preferably arranged outside the enclosure 25, since this generator gives off an appreciable quantity of heat.
The device according to the invention is further provided with a control device 28 (shown schematically) which can be produced in a conventional manner, so as to ensure automatic adjustment of the successive functions of the device, while has provided an electrical assembly which cooperates with feeler means 29 and 30 which react to the absence of envelopes on the wheel in question, in order to obtain automatic switching of a drive motor on the wheel. other (9 or 10) as soon as a chain of envelopes is exhausted.
The operating cycle of the device begins by applying to the control member 28 a starting pulse
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
for example, by manually closing a contact or inserting a specific coin into the vending machine *
The controller 28 causes the operation of the high frequency generator 15 which supplies high frequency energy to the radiating member 23 through the coaxial cable 14.
This energy ensures the dielectric heating of the food in the casing inside the heating element 5. After a
Time interval, set in the control member 28, the high frequency generator 15 stops, after which 3. * electromagnet 23 comes into action and pushes the stop member 22 aside, so that the envelope heated slips by its own weight out of the heater 5 and falls into the bag or boot
24 which can be taken out of the device, after which the heated envelope can be removed.
At the same time, the knife 19 cuts the flexible strip between the first two envelopes on the rauar 1, while the motor 9 starts and turns this wheel a quarter of a turn. The first envelope, which is released from the chain 3 slides by its own weight into the heater 5 where it is retained by the stopper 22. The cycle is then terminated and other heated envelopes are provided. only after the control unit 28 has received a new start pulse.
