<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Elevator garage
The present invention relates to an installation for the garage of motor vehicles on separate platforms or similar structures arranged side by side in stacked rows.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In known installations of this type intended for the garage of motor vehicles, the superimposed ends of the rows are connected by so-called transfer devices. These transfer devices transport with each maneuver a platform from the beginning of a lower row, using a system of levers, following a semicircular path, towards the beginning of an upper row, and simultaneously another platform from the end of the top row to the end of the bottom row. When moving the platforms, their speed is synchronized, in the transfer devices, by means of a complicated drive mechanism, with the speed of movement within the rows.
The object of the invention is to eliminate this drive mechanism and create a simpler transfer device, replacing the lever system.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by virtue of the fact that the beginnings and ends superimposed of the rows are connected by vertical elevators of the endless chain type, each elevator comprising a number of support devices for a platform or for a platform side at least equal to the number of rows. The installation according to the invention has the particular advantage residing in the fact that it is possible to provide a number of superposed rows greater than two. In this case, it is possible to choose, or adopt by automatic regulation, as the lower or upper row, not only the upper and / or lower row, but also any of the intermediate rinses! in accordance with the transportation of the platforms described above.
