<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Mine shaft coating The invention relates to a mine shaft coating consisting of an outer steel casing and an inner concrete casing or by an outer casing of steel, an inner casing of steel and)

between the two envelopes, a concrete lining, and by reinforcing elements embedded in the concrete and arranged horizontally which are fixed to the inner face of the outer steel casing and, where appropriate, to the outer face of the inner steel casing.
In a known embodiment of a mine shaft lining of this type, the reinforcing elements are constituted by horizontal sheet metal rings which are fixed by screws to flanges on the inner face of the enclosure. outer steel cover and on the outer face of an inner steel casing and have holes for the introduction of concrete.
When the outer steel casing of such a mine shaft lining ceases to be impermeable in any place at any depth, for example as a result of the development of bending stresses due to ground movements, the water which penetrates at this point spreads through the concrete throughout the space between the outer shell and the inner shell. The water will therefore remain on the outer face of the inner steel casing over the entire height thereof. It is therefore hardly possible to detect the damaged area in the outer steel casing and repair the damage.
In addition, the inner steel casing runs the risk of being deformed inwardly under the action of the pressure of the water which acts on it. When there is no inner steel casing, water which has entered through a deteriorated area of the outer steel casing passes through the portion of the inner concrete casing which is at the bottom. below this area and oozes out of this envelope. In this case, too, it is difficult to detect the damaged area.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The invention eliminates these drawbacks first of all from the fact that the reinforcing elements are made in such a way and welded in such a way to the outer steel casing and, where appropriate, to the inner steel casing that the Annular subdivisions that they form in the lining of the mine shaft are sealed with respect to each other. If it happens then that the outer steel casing ceases to be watertight at any point, the water which has penetrated can only flow into the corresponding annular subdivision, separated in a watertight manner by an upper reinforcing plate and a lower reinforcing plate, neighboring subdivisions.
If there is an inner steel casing, it is easy to determine in which subdivision the outer casing is damaged, by opening one after the other of the closing devices installed in the wall of the casing. interior in steel at the level of the various subdivisions. Indeed, the water will only flow through the. closing device which is located at ¯¯ 'the subdivision of the shaft lining in which the deteriorated area is located. - When there is no inner steel casing, water only seeps out at the subdivision of the well lining in which the deteriorated area is located.
It is therefore easy, in all cases, to repair the damage since it suffices to open the internal steel wall and / or the outer concrete envelope, only in the corresponding subdivision, to gain access to the deteriorated area of the outer steel wall. The subdivisions of the mine shaft lining above and below do not ir-

therefore in no way whatsoever. This advantage is even more marked when, in accordance with another embodiment of the invention, the annular subdivisions of the lining of the mine shaft are further divided in the vertical direction by sealed closons.
The accompanying drawings make it possible to describe, by way of nonlimiting examples, various embodiments of the invention.
The mine shaft lining shown in fig. 1 consists of an outer steel casing
1 inside which are mounted rings 2 which can be made of metal or also of plastic. The intervals between the rings are filled with concrete by means of formwork.
Fig. 2 shows a double-walled mine shaft lining in which reinforcing rings 5 are mounted at a certain distance from each other, so as to form watertight partitions, between the outer casing 3 and 1. 'inner envelope 4.
The annular intervals delimited by these rings are filled with concrete.
If water enters through a non-sealed area of the outer casing, it can only accumulate in the annular space corresponding to this area, so that the repair that needs to be done is limited to this

the length of a few subdivisions the inner casing 7 (Fig. 3), after which the next subdivision is mounted on it and concrete is poured between the two casings (fig. 4).
The subdivisions of the envelopes have welding edges 8 to which the reinforcing rings 9 are fixed by welding. The welding edges are used to file the concrete during its pouring. The following reinforcement ring is then welded (fig. 5).
The space between the envelopes can also be filled with a filling material other than concrete since the construction is by itself capable of supporting the loads. It is particularly advisable to use gravel or blast furnace slag which can then be compressed later with cement mortar.
In order to obtain that the reinforcing rings apply properly to the concrete which is below them, it is possible to place, immediately below the reinforcing rings, orifices 1a, made from the outside in the casing. Inside before welding, in each of which is introduced a tube 11, oriented obliquely upwards, the upper end of which, cut obliquely, is applied under the reinforcing ring which is then welded * To allow the passage of the concrete between the reinforcing ring and the end-of the pipe, that: .ci has a.jagged edge or. indented.
Instead of adopting this embodiment, it is also possible, as shown in fig. 6, to place at the level of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
weld connecting the inner envelope and the reinforcing ring, a tuulure 12 oriented obliquely from top to bottom so that the orifice of the tubing ends in the water of the lower face of the ring reinforcement, so that the concrete subsequently introduced through this pipe ends in a certain way at this lower face. The closure of this tubing can be effected by a suitable device.
The mine shaft lining can be reinforced according to the constraints provided in the area of the reinforcement circles. figs. 7 to 11 indicate some exemplary embodiments of the invention in this case.
In FIG. 12, the reference 13 designates a reinforcing ring which is connected by welding to the outer casing 14 by a V-weld and to the inner casing 15 by a weld connecting three sheets, two subdivisions. of the inner eweloppe superimposed on the level, of the reinforcement ring.
Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 13, effective- the mounting of the ring, reinforcement 16 in such a way that it protrudes between the subdivisions of the inner eweloppe 17 and that it. be connected to them by throaty audures.
Fig. shows yet another embodiment in which the reinforcing water 18 comprises vertical bors, the attachment of which by welding to the inner shell and to the outer shell is particularly easy.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
It should also be indicated that the envelopes can be formed by superimposed U-bars. It is also possible to subdivide, by welding tight vertical walls, the annular spaces formed by the reinforcing rings, which makes it possible to determine with even more precision, a priori, the zone in which the mine shaft lining is not waterproof.
