The present invention relates to a bogie, intended in particular for rail vehicles and it relates to the arrangement and the support mode of the bogie frame as well as to the guidance of the axle boxes.
Due to the length of the cars which is most
time, relatively large; the bodies of rail vehicles are supported by bogies. Each bogie has a bogie frame which is supported, directly or indirectly, by the axle boxes. The constitution of the suspension of
boggie plays a decisive role as well as regards the

The bogie frame must be supported in such a way that the forces acting horizontally on the body of the wagon are absorbed elastically.
The bogie according to the invention is characterized by that-.

ball joint which is provided so that it can be adjusted by itself so that said bearing does not oppose any resistance to inclinations. which the axle takes with respect to the horizontal but adjusts itself according to these inclinations.
The gooseneck brackets which are used to support the bogie act as balancing balances so that a lowering of the axle box results in only a reduced lowering of the bogie.
The invention also extends to the characteristics resulting from the following description and the appended drawings as well as to their possible combinations.

shown schematically in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 gives a side elevational view of parts of the bogie which are essential to the invention; Figure 2 shows, in a detail view, the arrangement u of the axle box.
As shown in Figure 1, the bogie has a chases

The bogie frame is supported :, on each side of the wagon, at the

One realizes, by examining FIG. 2, the same way in which the axle boxes are formed. The palliate

in the housing 2, is housed a roller bearing with

In addition, we can clearly recognize in this figure the guidance

The use of a spherical bearing only at each fulcrum of the axle, has the important advantage that no resistance. opposes the momentary inclinations of the axle on the side of its support and, on the contrary, the roller bearing. ball joint is adjusted according to the direction of the axle. Such momentary inclinations of the axle occur, for example, when traveling on a track with offset rail joints.
The described gooseneck support acts as a compensating balance which, during momentary lowering of the axle box, compensates for said lowerings in such a way that the bogie frame is only subjected to a considerably reduced lowering.
