Le présent brevet d'invention se réfère à "Un nouvel élément de sécurité pour écrous et boulons",. au moyen duquel l'important problème du blocage de sécurité des écrous et boulons est résolu d'une manière simple.
Dans le cas d'éclissage des rails., l'élément de sécurité faisant l'objet du présent brevet trouve une application précise, parce que., outre qu'il accomplit sa mission avec une perfection absolue, il est d'un placement facile et ne comporte aucune partie faible., ce qui constitue un point très important si la rudesse dans le maniement de ce matériel est prise en considération.
Il consiste essentiellement en une pièce de forme convena-, ble qui présente en son centre un vide polygonal à grand nombre de côtés. afin de pouvoir être monté sur l'hexagone, le carré, le triangle ou toute autre forme similaire de l'écrou ou de la tête de boulon, quelle qu'en soit la position. Cette pièce présente en l'une de ses parties, de préférence en sa partie supérieure, un orifice allant d'un bout à l'autre et qui communique avec le vide intérieurdestiné à recevoir une goupille appropriée.
Il est prévu que l'écrou ou la tête du boulon présente sur sa superficie une encoche annulaire ou cannelure., en forme de gorgepermettant l'introduction de la goupille précitée en n'importe quelle position.
Pour effectuer le freinages la forme de cette pièce est variable, parce qu'elle devra en tous cas s'ajuster aux nécessités de l'objet sur lequel elle est appliquée. Dans le cas d'éclissage des rails., il est proposé que la forme soit semi-circulaire à la partie supérieure et rectiligne à la partie inférieure, et qu'elle présente, en outre, à cet endroit une partie inclinée déterminant une faible déclivité au moyen de laquelle il est possible d'obtenir que la pièce épouse parfaitement le patin du rail.

A l'effet d'aider à une meilleure compréhension de l'objet de l'invention, nous nous référerons au croquis annexé, donne à titre d'illustration, et sur lequel :
La figure I montre un boulon et son écrou, sur lequel a été disposé Isolément de fixation ou de sécurité. la figure 2 est une-vue en plan de l'élément cité, et: la figure 3 est la même vue, mais avec montage sur l'écrou ou sur la tête du boulon.
Ces figures font l'objet des références suivantes : -1- représente le boulon; -2- l'écrou; -3- l'élément de fixation; -4- l'orifice pour la goupille; -5- la gorge pratiquée dans l'écrou; -6- le plan incliné pour servir d'appui et de frein.
Comme il a été dit précédemment, 1'élément de sécurité faisant l'objet de ce brevet trouve son application sur tous genres d'écrous et de boulons à tête appropriée et convient à tous usages, c'est-à-dire dans le cas de montage de machines, de charpentes et constructions métalliques, d'éléments de transport et pour tout matériel fixe et mobile des chemins de fer.
A titre d'illustration, le plan annexé montre une forme qui est particulièrement applicable à l'éclissage des rails, et pour cette raison, le plan incliné-6- est prévu afin de permettre un bon appui sur le patin du rail dont l'inclinaison est la même. Pour d'autres applications cette forme qui est celle qui constitue le frein, variera selon les caractéristiques présentées par le point sur lequel sera appliqué l'écrou ou le boulon, et qui pourra être constituée par des courbes longitudinales ou verticales sur toutes les faces, ou sur l'une quelconque des faces, ou par toute autre forme constituant le point d'appui pour le frein.
L'attention est expressément attirée sur le fait que la forme, les dimensions, les proportions et le genre de matériau employé sont en tout cas variables, mais devra tenir compte de l'application en vue de laquelle toute modification quelconque de ce genre sera considérée, à tous effets, comme incluse à la présente demande.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Elément de sécurité pour écrous et boulons, caractérisé par le fait qu'il est constitué par une pièce sensiblement plane et de forme extérieure variable présentant un vide central représenté par un polygone régulier à grand nombre de côtés, et comportant dans l'une de ses parties, un orifice donnant issue des deux côtés et qui communique également avec le vide central, c'est-à-dire que sa trajectoire coupe, dans la proportion prévue, les côtés du polygone.

The present patent refers to "A new security element for nuts and bolts". by means of which the important problem of the safety locking of nuts and bolts is solved in a simple manner.
In the case of rail jointing, the safety element which is the subject of the present patent finds a precise application, because, in addition to fulfilling its mission with absolute perfection, it is easy to place and has no weak part., which is a very important point if the harshness in the handling of this material is taken into consideration.
It essentially consists of a suitably shaped part which has a polygonal void with a large number of sides in its center. so that it can be mounted on the hexagon, square, triangle or other similar shape of the nut or bolt head in any position. This part has in one of its parts, preferably in its upper part, an orifice extending from one end to the other and which communicates with the internal void intended to receive a suitable pin.
Provision is made for the nut or the head of the bolt to have on its surface an annular notch or groove, in the form of a groove allowing the introduction of the aforementioned pin in any position.
To perform the braking, the shape of this part is variable, because it must in any case adjust to the requirements of the object to which it is applied. In the case of rail jointing, it is proposed that the shape be semicircular at the top and rectilinear at the bottom, and that it also present at this location an inclined part determining a slight gradient. by means of which it is possible to obtain that the part perfectly matches the shoe of the rail.

As has been said previously, the security element which is the subject of this patent finds its application on all kinds of nuts and bolts with a suitable head and is suitable for all uses, that is to say in the case of assembly of machines, metal frames and constructions, transport elements and for all fixed and mobile railway equipment.
By way of illustration, the appended plan shows a shape which is particularly applicable to the splicing of the rails, and for this reason, the inclined plane-6- is provided in order to allow a good support on the shoe of the rail whose inclination is the same. For other applications, this shape, which is the one constituting the brake, will vary according to the characteristics presented by the point on which the nut or bolt will be applied, and which may be formed by longitudinal or vertical curves on all sides, or on any one of the faces, or by any other shape constituting the fulcrum for the brake.
Attention is expressly drawn to the fact that the shape, dimensions, proportions and type of material used are in any case variable, but must take into account the application for which any modification of this kind will be considered. , to all effects, as included in the present application.

Safety element for nuts and bolts, characterized in that it consists of a substantially flat part and of variable external shape having a central void represented by a regular polygon with a large number of sides, and comprising in one of its parts, an orifice giving out from both sides and which also communicates with the central void, that is to say that its trajectory cuts, in the planned proportion, the sides of the polygon.
