ARMOIRE PLIANTE.
La présente invention concerne un meuble pliant, une armoire par exemple, à parois inférieure et supérieure amovibles.
L'invention vise à établir un meuble pouvant se replier de fa- çon que ses éléments principaux demeurent solidaires les uns des autres, le pliage ayant pour effet de réduire le volume du meuble, d'où diminution appréciable des frais de transport et d'emballage, un autre objectif visant à qe que tous les éléments pliés et éventuellement détachés puissent se loger ensemble entre les parois latérales et postérieure. Une autre caractéris- tique de l'invention consiste en ce que le meuble peut être monté et démonté sans l'emploi d'outils, cette opération pouvant être exécutée sans difficulté et à plusieurs reprises par une personne non spécialisée, sans que des piè- ces subissent des déformations ou se brisent lors de telles manipulations.
Selon l'invention, les parois latérales et postérieure du meu- ble pliant sont articulées entre elles, cette dernière pouvant se replier entre les premières de façon que les trois parois délimitent un espace for- mant caisson plat.
Dans un mode d'exécution préféré du meuble pliant, notamment dans un meuble pliant à casiers, les supports des casiers sont fixés aux pa- rois latérales, le corps de chaque casier étant fixé au support solidaire d'une des parois latérale du meuble de telle façon que ce corps puisse se plier contre cette même paroi et être assujetti dans cet-ce position pliée.
Les dessins annexés représentent à titre d'exemple un mode d'exé- cution du meuble à casiers selon l'invention.

Dans ces figures, les parois latérales du: meuble sont désignées par 1 et 2 et la paroi postérieure par 3. La paroi supérieure a été omise pour plus de clarté. Les éléments de séparation, qui peuvent être rabattus contre la paroi latérale 2, sont désignés par 4 et 5. Le corps de chaque casier comprend un fond en deux pièces 6 et 7 et deux parois latérales 8 et 9. Les' parois postérieure 10 et antérieure 11 du casier se fixent aux extré- mités ouvertes du corps de celui-ci.
La paroi postérieure 3 du meuble est constitué par deux volets 12 et 13, réunis rigidement aux côtés 1 et 2 et par deux volets 14 et 15 réu- nis par des charnières 16 et'17 aux voléts fixes 12 et 13 et réunis en outre entre eux par une charnière 18. Les charnières 16 et 17 sont exécutées de manière que les volets 14 et 15 puissent pivoter vers l'intérieur, cependant que la,charnière 18 permet aux volets 14 et 15 de se rabattue l'un contre l'autre. Les parois latérales sont munies de bordures de renforcement con- tinues 19 et 20, tandis que les volets de la paroi postérieure présentent des rebords 21, 22, 23, 24 séparés par des découpages 25, 26 qui permettent le pivotement relatif des volets.
Les appuis ou supports fixés aux parois latérales 1 et 2 sont désignés par 27.
Le coin formé par une paroi latérale 9 et un élément de fond 7 de chaque casier est fixé en permanence à un appui,tandis que l'autre coin, formé entre la paroi latérale 8 et l'élément de fond 6, peut être calé de la manière courante sur l'appui solidaire de l'autre paroi latérale 2 du meu- ble. La liaison entre les côtés et le fond d'un casier est assurée par une charnière 28, les deux parties de fond 6 et 7 étant reliées par une charnière 29.
Grâce à ces charnières, le corps du casier peut être plié et rabattu contre le côté 2 du meuble, où il peut être retenu par une pince non repré- sentée. La paroi postérieure 10 du casier peut être fixée au fond 6, 7 à l'aide de deux languettes et de deux rainures 30, 31 tandis que son verrouil- lage aux cotés 8 et 9 est assuré par les systèmes à cheville et à encoche 32,33. La paroi avant 11 du casier, munie d'une poignée 42, peut être enga- gée dans le fond 6,7 (voir. fig. 6), être relevée par pivotement sur des chevilles 34 et être calée contre les côtés 8 et 9 du corps du casier au moyen de loquets basculants 35.
La paroi inférieure 44 du meuble peut être calée aux cotés 1 et 2 par les verrous coulissants 36 (fig. 5). Un élément de renforcement 37 est fixé par une charnière 38 à la paroi inférieure 44. L'élément 37 présente à ses extrémités des parties relevées 39 pouvant être calées, par une liaison à cheville et à encoche 40, contre les nervures de renforcement 41 des côtés 1 et 2.
Les nervures 41 servent d'antre part à la suspension des appuis 27.
La paroi supérieure est munie d'orifices qui corredpondent aux chevilles 43 prévues dans les rebords 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 24 et peut' -'être calée au moyen de fermetures dites "de malle" (non représentées). La paroi supérieure porte la serrure et le pêne qui s'engage dans le mécanisme de fer-

meture solidaire de la paroi postérieure.
Pour monter le meuble, on procède comme suit :
On ouvre, à la manière d'un livre, les parois latérales et pos- térieure du meuble, après quoi, on en retire les éléments détachés soit, les parois supérieure et inférieure du meuble; ainsi que les parois antérieures et postérieures des casiers. On place ensuite le meuble sur champ et l'on - déplie la paroi postérieure, ce qui donne au meuble sa forme d'équerre (fig.
2). On pose ensuite la paroi inférieure, que l'on cale par rapport aux pa- rois latérales à l'aide des verrous. On cale l'élément de renforcement à charnière. Les éléments qui séparent les casiers les uns des autres sont ensuite tournés jusqu'à ce que leurs extrémités libres s'engagent dans les évidements prévus dans la paroi latérale opposée, où elles sont verrouillées.
On pose ensuite la paroi supérieure, que l'on assujettit aux parois latérales et postérieure. Les corps repliés des casiers sont ensuite dépliés et fixés aux appuis opposés. On met ensuite en place les parois pos- térieures et puis les parois antérieures des casiers, après quoi le meuble est prêt à l'usage.
A l'état replié, le volume du meuble représente environ 1/3 de celui du meuble déplié, dans la position d'emploi.

FOLDING WARDROBE.
The present invention relates to a folding cabinet, for example a cabinet, with removable upper and lower walls.
The invention aims to establish a piece of furniture that can be folded up so that its main elements remain integral with one another, the folding having the effect of reducing the volume of the piece of furniture, hence an appreciable reduction in transport costs and packaging, another objective aimed at qe that all the folded and possibly detached elements can fit together between the side and rear walls. Another feature of the invention consists in that the piece of furniture can be assembled and disassembled without the use of tools, this operation being able to be carried out without difficulty and on several occasions by a non-specialist, without parts. these undergo deformation or break during such manipulations.
According to the invention, the side and rear walls of the folding furniture are articulated with each other, the latter being able to be folded between the former so that the three walls define a space forming a flat box.
In a preferred embodiment of the folding cabinet, in particular in a folding cabinet with lockers, the supports of the lockers are fixed to the side walls, the body of each box being fixed to the support integral with one of the side walls of the cabinet. such that this body can bend against the same wall and be secured in this folded position.

In these figures, the side walls of the cabinet are designated by 1 and 2 and the rear wall by 3. The top wall has been omitted for clarity. The dividers, which can be folded back against the side wall 2, are designated 4 and 5. The body of each compartment comprises a two-piece bottom 6 and 7 and two side walls 8 and 9. The rear walls 10 and front 11 of the rack are fixed to the open ends of the body thereof.
The rear wall 3 of the cabinet consists of two flaps 12 and 13, joined rigidly to the sides 1 and 2 and by two flaps 14 and 15 joined by hinges 16 and '17 to the fixed flaps 12 and 13 and also joined between them by a hinge 18. The hinges 16 and 17 are made so that the flaps 14 and 15 can pivot inwards, while the, hinge 18 allows the flaps 14 and 15 to fold against each other. . The side walls are provided with continuous reinforcing edges 19 and 20, while the flaps of the rear wall have flanges 21, 22, 23, 24 separated by cutouts 25, 26 which allow the relative pivoting of the flaps.
The supports or supports fixed to the side walls 1 and 2 are designated by 27.
The corner formed by a side wall 9 and a bottom element 7 of each compartment is permanently fixed to a support, while the other corner, formed between the side wall 8 and the bottom element 6, can be wedged from the usual way on the support integral with the other side wall 2 of the furniture. The connection between the sides and the bottom of a rack is provided by a hinge 28, the two bottom parts 6 and 7 being connected by a hinge 29.
Thanks to these hinges, the body of the box can be folded and folded against the side 2 of the cabinet, where it can be retained by a clamp not shown. The rear wall 10 of the box can be fixed to the bottom 6, 7 using two tongues and two grooves 30, 31 while its locking to sides 8 and 9 is ensured by the pin and notch systems 32 , 33. The front wall 11 of the box, provided with a handle 42, can be engaged in the bottom 6,7 (see. Fig. 6), be raised by pivoting on pins 34 and be wedged against the sides 8 and 9. of the locker body by means of tilting latches 35.
The lower wall 44 of the cabinet can be wedged to sides 1 and 2 by sliding bolts 36 (fig. 5). A reinforcing element 37 is fixed by a hinge 38 to the lower wall 44. The element 37 has at its ends raised parts 39 which can be wedged, by a pin and notch connection 40, against the reinforcing ribs 41 of the sides 1 and 2.
The ribs 41 serve as an other part for the suspension of the supports 27.
The upper wall is provided with orifices which correspond to the pins 43 provided in the flanges 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 24 and can '-'être wedged by means of so-called "trunk" closures (not shown). The upper wall carries the lock and the bolt which engages the locking mechanism.

The side and rear walls of the cabinet are opened in the manner of a book, after which the detached elements, ie the upper and lower walls of the cabinet, are removed; as well as the anterior and posterior walls of the lockers. In the folded state, the volume of the cabinet represents approximately 1/3 of that of the unfolded cabinet, in the position of use.
