Suivant une forme de réalisation particulière, les moyens d'as- piration et de refoulement du liquide sont constitués par : un piston à commande de déplacement quelconque par exemple électrique ou manuelle ; une soupape disposée entre le cylindre dudit piston et le ré- servoir de liquide; une seconde soupape disposée entre ledit cylindre du piston et un second cylindre;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
La came 22 commande,.

HOUSEHOLD PRESS TO EXTRACT JUICES.
The present invention relates to a household press for extracting juice from any food such as fruit, vegetables, etc.
According to the invention, said press is characterized in that the device for extracting the juices is a hydraulic press system.
According to a general embodiment of the object of the invention, said press essentially comprisesa movable element constituting a pressure element of the food against a wall of the housing of the press; and a hydraulic pressure system controlling the movement of the aforesaid movable element and essentially comprising a liquid reservoir and means sucking the liquid out of this reservoir and returning it to the rear of the aforesaid movable element in order to cause the latter to move in the direction of the wall of the aforesaid casing.
According to a particular embodiment, the means of suction and delivery of the liquid consist of: a piston with any displacement control, for example electric or manual; a valve disposed between the cylinder of said piston and the liquid reservoir; a second valve disposed between said piston cylinder and a second cylinder;
and a second piston disposed in this second cylinder and acting on the aforementioned movable element or being integral with the latter., the movement of the first piston in a determined direction causing the opening of the first valve and the entry of the liquid coming from of the reservoir in the first cylinder the second valve being closed, while the movement of said first piston in the opposite direction causes the closing of the first valve and the opening of the second thus allowing the passage of the liquid in the second cylinder where it displaces the second piston and consequently the movable element.
This type of press according to the invention has the great advantage, either of being able to form a whole by itself, or of being able to be easily adapted to modern household appliances, such as mixers.

Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the following description given by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figures 1 and 2 show, in elevation and in section, two different types of press according to the invention.
The press for extracting juices, shown in FIG. 1, comprises a housing 1 having an upper chamber 2 closed by a cover 3. In the bottom of this chamber .. in the rest position of the apparatus, is there is a movable element 4 which, like the cover, has grooves 5 on the side facing the interior of the chamber 2.
Fruits, vegetables or other similar products, from which it is desired to extract the juice, are placed in chamber 2 and, by a control explained below, element 4 is raised by pressing the materials from chamber 2. , the juice falling into the bottom thereof and flowing through orifices 6 in a circular channel 7 towards the outlet 8.
The juice being extracted, it will suffice to unscrew the wing screw 9 to lift the lids to remove the pulps or remaining materials and to push the movable element 4 down for a new extraction.
The movable element 4 is mounted on a piston 10 to which it is fixed or not, at 11. It is this piston 10 which is hydraulically controlled with a view to its upward movement in its cylinder 17, and, consequently, that of the mobile element 4.
A liquid reservoir 11 is connected by a conduit 12 to a cylinder 13, in which only a piston 14 moves.
A valve 15 is disposed between the reservoir 11 and the cylinder 13, in the conduit 12, and essentially comprises a ball 21 mounted on a spring 16. Between the cylinder 13 and the cylinder 17 of the piston 10, is also provided. a valve 18 essentially comprising a billa 19 and a spring 20.
Considering the drawing ,,, when the piston 14 moves to the left, the valve 15 opens allowing liquid to enter the cylinder 13, while the valve 18 closes. A return in the other direction of the piston 14, causes the closing of the valve 15 and the opening of the valve 18 and, consequently, the passage of the liquid in the cylinder 17, which causes the lifting of the piston 10.
The displacement of the piston 14, to the right (still considering the drawing) can be caused by the part of larger radius of a cam 22, the return of said piston 14 to the left being effected by means of the spring 23 arranged in cylinder 13.
The rotation of this cam 22 can be obtained by an electrical control or any control.
Instead of a cam 22, an angled lever 24 can be provided pivotally mounted at 25. The branch 26 of the lever 24 normally presses on the piston 14, due to the spring 27 acting on the second branch 28 which serves to the command. When pushing the branch 28 downwards, the branch 26 goes to the left (considering the drawing), thus allowing the piston 14 to move to the left also under the action of the spring 23. releases the branch 28, the return spring 27 acts and, automatically, the branch 26 and the piston 14 are returned to the right.
A safety valve 29 may be provided which allows the cylinder 17 and the reservoir 11 to be placed in direct communication. Other such detail accessories may moreover be provided.
In Figure 2, there is shown a press of the same principle as in Figure 1, but which is more specially designed to fit on
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
any household appliance, for example; mixers.
In this figure 2, the same reference notations as in figure 1, represent identical elements or fulfill identical functions.
The general principle is therefore the same as in FIG. 1. in the present case, the cam 22 is mounted on an axis 30 which, thanks to any clutch 31, can be moved by the electric motor of an apparatus. any household item not shown.
The cam 22 controls ,. again a piston 14 which pumps a liquid out of the reservoir 11 to send it into the cylinder 17, two valves 15 and 18 again being provided. The other construction details are similar, although different in shape, to those of Figure 1 and therefore will not be described further.
It should be understood, moreover, that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described above, but that many modifications could be made to them without departing from the scope of the present patent application.
