SEALED GLASS BAR COVER WITHOUT PUTTY.

In numerous applications, in particular for the execution of glazing for glass roofs in halls and sheds, more and more frequently use is made of special profiles for glazing without mastic.

These mastic-free glazing profiles require a joint cover which can, in the absence of the .mastic, retain the glasses in their beats. Nevertheless, the procedures employed to date only fix the glasses to the profile without preventing them from sliding in their frames, or else they can no longer be used after their removal, which is necessary for cleaning the windows. glasses or replacing broken tiles
The main aim of the invention is:
1 To be able to retain the glasses in their beats, avoiding that, by the vibration of the canopies caused by the trepidation of the cranes, pestles or other machines, these glasses cannot touch a hard body such as the soul of iron T, which is the root cause of their breakage.

2 To be able, by fixing the joint cover by screw, to adjust the spring pressure of the said joint cover.

The direct result is that one can, without fear of the risk of breakage of tiles, use the maximum dimensions of the glasses; - 'that one can, during the forced removal of the joint cover to proceed to cleaning tiles or when replacing them, reuse the joint cover which can still be used, since it is fixed by screws; that we can thanks to this fixing by screws; the spring pressure of the gasket cover.

It is obvious that the joint cover in accordance with the invention could be introduced in all generally any applications using metal profiles, of light alloy or of the like.

The invention therefore extends to any soft metal joint cover having at least one spring section.

DESCRIPTION. DESCRIPTION. The attached sketch shows, in cross section, a glazing device in which use is made of N 3 joint cover, for example in light alloy; joint cover approximately represents a section of spring and is fixed to the profile, in this case a glazing bar without mastic, by an NI screw which regulates the pressure to be given thanks to the vacuum between the profile and the joint cover N 3; the hole drilled beforehand in the cover-joint for the introduction of the screw N I will be made hermetic thanks to the lead float N 2. The joint cover thus placed will rest on a cushion of asphalt felt or other product to allow it to give the glass a gentle pressure. It is easy to notice that the sketch that the two ends of the joint cover N 3 are curved so that it can force the cushion N 4 which is in contact with the glass to curl while retaining the said glass instead. where it will have been placed and avoiding that by the trepidation of the hall frame caused by the overhead cranes by the internal machines or others the glasses cannot slide to the left or the right and thus touch the soul of the profile which would in many cases be his death. in appendix 1 drawing.
