GARAGE
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
REVENDICATIONS.

GARAGE
The present invention relates to a garage, especially intended for motor vehicles.
The problem of the garage of motor vehicles has become crucial, especially in the cities. The present invention provides a relatively simple construction, making it possible to park a large number of cars on a fairly small space of land.
According to the invention, the garage comprises, on each floor, a determined number of locations for vehicles to be parked, and at least one elevator with a rotating plate for them, arranged substantially in the center of said garage, the aforementioned locations being, preferably, distributed on each floor all around the shaft of said elevator. '
According to one embodiment, the apron of the aforesaid elevator is constituted by a rotating plate, serving to direct the front of the vehicle towards the entrance of the compartment which is allotted to it, this plate being able to be immobilized at all. location, while the vehicle is moving from the elevator to its compartment.
In one embodiment, each location has, on the side facing the elevator, a passage allowing entry and exit of the machine, with a closure device provided to close this passage, the operation of the dependent elevator, preferably, the closing of this passage.
Also on each floor, behind the aforementioned locations, a corridor may be provided communicating with at least one elevator and / or at least one staircase that the user can use.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the following description, given by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawing.
The figure is a horizontal section of the garage according to the invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The garage superstructure 1 is surrounded by a completely glazed wall 2 or constructed from any other accepted materials.
A central elevator shaft 3 is provided, an elevator (not shown) which can reach all floors, as well as any basements. The garage can, in fact, be built in depth as well as in height.
Compartments 4 are arranged on each floor around the elevator shaft 3. Each compartment 4 is provided with a closing grid 5, the operation of the elevator may very well be dependent on the closing of this. grid 5.
This elevator is equipped with a turntable 11 mounted on a ball device allowing easy and manual rotation, so as to be able to steer the vehicle towards the compartment which is assigned to it. Multiple stop notches make it possible to immobilize this platform, when the car passes into its compartment.
At the bottom of each of the compartments 4, a passage 6 is provided allowing users to gain access to a circular corridor 7 joining a staircase 8 and / or an elevator 9. Users who have parked their car in compartment 4, which is reserved for them , could thus gain the exit of the garage by 8 or by 9, without having to use the central elevator.
On the ground floor, a number of entrances 10 are provided which allow easy access from the street to the central elevator which will therefore bring the car to park on the desired floor and in front of the reserved compartment. The gate 5 thereof being open, the elevator is blocked and the car can be passed, without danger, from said elevator into compartment 4. The gate 5 being closed, the elevator can continue to operate, l user exiting by passage 6, corridor 7 and staircase 8 or elevator 9.
To make each of the compartments 4 entirely personal, it suffices to provide that the user alone has the keys allowing access to his compartment through passages 5 and 6.
It is obvious that instead of a single central lift, two or even more could be provided, depending on the number of garage units, floors of: these and cars to be parked.
This or these elevators may be of any type, either with a hydraulic system under pressure for the feed water, or with an electric system, an emergency control device, for example a hand winch, being provided for the case of breakdowns, such a device allowing at least the exit of parked cars since, in this case, the load is still descending.
It should be understood, moreover, that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above but that many modifications could be made to it without departing from the scope of the present patent application, in particular. as regards the shape and dimensions of the garage, the distribution of compartments, etc ....
