PAVING BLOCK.
The present invention relates to molded cement paving blocks which fit into each other to form the coating.
Various types of blocks are already known which partially engage with each other to achieve the connection of. blocks between them. For this purpose, the blocks are given variable shapes and hollows and projections are provided on certain faces.
A block according to the invention is advantageously composed of two parts which are produced together and each of which has a generally elongated hexagonal shape and is provided with projections and recesses.
According to a particularity, in each part the protrusions and the hollows are symmetrical - with respect to a transverse plane, that is to say that in one part the protrusions are contiguous and are provided on either side of two opposite peaks while in the other part the hollows are formed at the peaks corresponding to those bearing the projections. In other words, in a block according to the invention, four opposite side faces are provided with projections and hollows, the other two being flat.
Other features will emerge from the following description of the appended drawings, which show by way of example only, one embodiment of the invention.
The figure is a perspective view of a block made according to the invention.
It can be seen that a block according to the invention comprises two parts 2 and 3, the general shape of which is hexagonal. These two parts came together directly from manufacturing. 'Part 2 is provided with projections 4 and 5 on its two opposite vertices while part 3 has recesses such as 6 on the corresponding vertices. The projections extend on either side of the summits. These projections overhang the hollows 6 of the lower part. It appears in the figure that two opposite side faces 7 and 8 are plane while on four opposite side faces are

provided with alternating protrusions and hollows.
When a pavement is made, the various blocks fit into each other; the projections then rest on each other and the forces applied to a block are distributed over all the neighboring blocks.
CLAIMS.
