Le dessin annexé montre quelques exemples d'exécution préférés de 19 invention @ Figo 1 est une vue latérale schématique d'un cône=tamis à fentes;

SIEVE-ARPENTES. OF GREAT FINESSE'EN.FIES PROFILES.
A particular technical problem consists in providing slotted sieves made of profiled wires, in particular for sieve baskets and sieve cones, both with slots of great fineness chosen at will and with passages which oppose a minimum resistance to the sieved products. The invention aims to solve this problem. It starts from the formation of bosses by embossing or by upsetting from the sides of the wire.
The invention consists of a slotted sieve of great fineness in profiled threads, in particular in the form of a basket = sieve or of a cone-sieve, where-the sifting surface consists of profiled threads with a flat surface ,, These profiled wires also have a triangular profile, essentially tapered towards the rear, such that the perpendicular lowered from the apex of the triangle to the axis of rotation of the basket intersects the base plane of the profile of the wires! Or = mant the sieving surface.
According to a preferred construction, the slot of the screen is parallel to the vertical which can be lowered from the top of the profile on the axis of rotation of the basket, so that the slot is also perpendicular to this axis. The new construction of the high fineness slit sieve is just as advantageous for slotted sieve baskets, whose slits are parallel to the base surfaces, as it is for cones of any inclination, with parallel or helically wound wires.
The accompanying drawing shows some preferred embodiments of the invention. Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of a cone = slotted screen;
Fig. 2 is a partial soup according to II-II of Fig. 1; Figs 3 and 4 are similar schematic sections of parts of the wall of a cone = slotted sieve, - Figo 5 is a schematic plan of a sieve fragment.

The sections of Figs. 9 3 and t9 are indicated by a phantom line in the upper part of FIG.
20 According to this ig the flat faces 2 of the profiled yarns form the screening surface. The flanks 4 and 5 determine a triangular profile tapering towards barriers, such as the vertical (dotted line) descending from the apex of the triangle on the 'axis of rotation of the sieve basket

and 13 are shown slightly broken o The vertical lj, drawn in the same way as in the above constructions, intersects approximately in the middle the flat surface 14 which forms the surface of the sieve and is parallel to the slit formed by the flank 11o
Therefore, Figs. 2, 3 and 4 represent two extreme cases and an intermediate one from which it follows that the simple theory according to the invention is applicable in several ways. In each case, slotted sieve baskets and cones are obtained = sieves whose sieve slots can be

wind be very narrow without prejudice to precise execution.
Screen slits with a width of between 500 and 50 microns can easily be made. It can be seen that these slits are oriented very favorably with respect to the exit direction of the sieved products. The conformation of the rear flanks of the yarns helps to reduce the sieving resistance to a minimum. The sieved products can be discharged quickly and in a defined direction. They detach from the sieve along the outer edges of the triangles. The flanks of the wire, which diverge notably downstream from the sieve slots, allow easy and perfect cleaning of the sieves.
