POMPE 'CENTRIFUGE AUTO-ASPIRANTE.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Les Figso 1 et 2 représentent une élévation des.moitiés du corps de pompe rabattues, sans rotor, la Figo 1 du côté de l'aspiration et la Figo 2 du coté du refoulement; la Figo 3 représente-une vue partielle du rotor en élévation;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Le progrès technique réalisé par les mesures conformes à l'in- vention consiste essentiellement en une augmentation brusque de la hauteur de refoulement et de la capacité de débit pour une puissance de commande constante, c'est-à-dire en une amélioration correspondante du rendemento Par suite de l'anneau d'eau bien conçu;

SELF-SUCTION CENTRIFUGAL PUMP.
The invention relates to a self-sucking centrifugal pump provided with a rotor open on both sides, constructed in the form of impellers. In pumps of this type, it is known practice to enclose the rotor in a concentric body and to provide in the latter on each side of the rotor annular channels which start flat in the vicinity of the suction orifice ;, which progressively deepen and which finally become flat again in the vicinity of the discharge orifice. By the rotation of the rotor there is then formed by the action of centrifugal force a rotating ring of liquid in the pump body so that pumps constructed in this way are able to operate simultaneously as ring pumps. water by pushing and as a centrifugal pump by the action of centrifugal force.
It is further known to provide separate discharge channels and openings on the discharge side of the pump body for the liquid displaced by the liquid ring or by the action of centrifugal force, and on the other hand to provide an orifice. common suction of the total amount of liquid sucked from the Inspiration side of the pump body. All known pumps of this kind have the disadvantage that auxiliary liquid, during the discharge of the air during the pumping. suction of the pump, is lost from the point of view of the thrust effect and disappears by the discharge opening of the liquid displaced by Inaction of the centrifugal force located on the discharge side of the pump in the vicinity of the edge of the pump. the working space of the pump, i.e. relatively far outwards.
As a result, the formation of a well sealed water ring, formed as completely as possible, is hampered and the suction power of the pump becomes less good. This is particularly noticeable when the rotor is rotating - with a clearance greater than the normal clearance in the pump body.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The object of the invention is now a self-suction centrifugal pump in which the cited drawbacks are eliminated and which stand out.
gue pumps known by a particularly good air discharge, that is to say a rapid deaeration, an increased total efficiency and obtaining a greater head of pressure per stage, and in which one can achieve a good ventilation of the suction line even on heavily worn rotors
For this purpose, the invention proposes to have on the re = flow side of the pump body? in addition to the ordinary discharge openings for liquid displaced by the action of centrifugal force or by pushing action.
an additional opening located in front of the above-mentioned openings with respect to the direction of rotation of the rotor and through which auxiliary liquid can be returned to the working space of the pump from the discharge side shortly before the start of the pump. 'evacuation of the air from the cells of the rotor This opening is preferably placed in the vicinity of the auxiliary part of the rotor, in order to guarantee a perfect subsequent displacement of the auxiliary liquid', it must naturally be as low as possible,
that is to say in the sump of the pump In the construction of the discharge side according to the invention there therefore occurs during the discharge of the air a continuous and forced return to the rotor of the portion of the pump. auxiliary liquid which flows through the discharge opening o By this liquid flow conducted, so to speak, in a closed circuit? the water ring exerting the thrust displacement effect is thus constantly supplemented again., so that a particularly ideal separation of the individual rotor cells and therefore a suction height is obtained. of the pump remarkable from the point of view of the vacuum measurement obtained o This height is therefore independent to a large extent of the rotor clearance in the pump body,
and loss of tightness of jams in tamping boxes o For the same reason, the suction power of the pump when moving hot liquids is also considerably increased and an unobstructed suction is also It is also guaranteed under the most unfavorable conditions and also in the event of intense air intake. In addition, the possibility exists to give the pump in advance a greater clearance in the pump casing without noticeable decrease in the flow capacity of the pump, which results in the pump becoming insensitive to the presence of contamination. in the liquid to be moved,
specially de sableo When did the aspiration take place? the opening provided in accordance with the invention acts as an additional discharge opening so that, from the point of view of the pumping technique, a particularly advantageous discharge of the displaced liquid portion results. by push effect
The additional opening arranged in accordance with the invention furthermore enables the discharge side of the pump to be constructed now in such a way that the discharge channel arranged on the side extends more around the center compared to the pump constructions already proposed. , and that the discharge opening provided in the channel for the outlet of the liquid displaced by the action of centrifugal force,
be placed further forward in order to increase the pressure
A particularly suitable method of construction from the point of view of dynamic technique, emphasizing to a quite particular extent all the advantages resulting from the additional auxiliary opening provided, 9 is obtained according to another characteristic of the present invention when using as blades on the rotor spiral blades, in which the front surface as well as the back are curved in arcs of circles or other curves Compared to known rotors provided with back blades in roof shape, inclined by about 7 by the contribution to the axis of the rotor, the rotor according to the invention exhibits significantly lower friction losses,
that is to say a better efficiency so that, for the same consumption of driving force, the flow rate and the pressure increase notably. In addition, a rotor of this kind with spiral blades rotates in a very balanced way because there is no
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
more lateral play caused by axial thrust and because the liquid, due to their particular shape, can pass through the blades without impact and following an ideal guidance - -.
An exemplary embodiment of a self-sucking centrifugal pump according to the invention is shown in the drawing, in which
Figs 1 and 2 show an elevation of the folded-down pump body halves, without rotor, Figo 1 on the suction side and Figo 2 on the delivery side; FIG. 3 represents a partial view of the rotor in elevation;
Figo 4 the corresponding plan view and Figo 5 on the left outside a section through the vane along the line A-B of Figo 3, and next to two different sections of the vanes before their spiral windingo
As shown in Figo 1, the suction side of the centrifugal pump is constructed in an ordinary fashion.
The sucked liquid enters by suction cover 2 into the cells of the rotor, not shown, placed between the two parts of the pump body (Fig. 1 and 2) and rotating in the direction of arrow 3. In the annular channel 4 , which starts flat near the suction opening, gets progressively deeper and becomes flat again at the other end? this forms the barrier water ring necessary for the thrust effect o On the opposite side of the rotor., on the discharge side 5 of the pump body, the annular channel 6 is provided, which is wound in a spiral. liquid displaced by Inaction of centrifugal force and exiting through the delivery opening 7, and which also ends flat at both ends,
but which presents on the remaining part an almost uniform depth. The liquid displaced by the thrust effect exits through the opening 8. According to the invention, there is now in part 5 of the pump body another opening 10 located forward with respect to the direction of rotation of the rotor (arrow 9 ) through which during the suction period shortly before the air discharge from the rotor cells begins, auxiliary liquid can enter from the discharge space.
This auxiliary liquid returning back serves., During suction, to replace the quantity of auxiliary liquid delivered by centrifugation through the external opening 7 and which is thus lost for the water ring forming a dam. at this circuit of the auxiliary liquid, there is at each moment of the suction period a ring of barrier water forming a good ideal seal. Obviously to achieve the full effect expected, the additional opening 10 must be placed as low as possible, i.e. in the pump sump o In multi-stage pumps, it is sufficient to provide the additional opening only once on the pump stage next to the delivery body o
In Figs.
3 and 5, the construction of the rotor blades according to the invention is still finally shown. Unlike the known self-aspirating pumps, the front surfaces 11 as well as the backs 12 of the vanes 13 are here curved in the form of arcs of circles or other curves, and the angle 14 at which the vanes 13 are. wound in the form of a spiral with respect to the axis of the rotor, may have a value between 18 and 25, and it reaches, for example, for a rotor diameter of about 130 mm, preferably 22 .L the winding of the spiral blades is carried out in the usual way. As a starting component, a pre-pressed rotor having blade sections 15 or 16 is used for this purpose.
Section 16 is used particularly for pumps with larger flow rates. After spiral winding, the rotor according to the invention therefore has vanes constructed in a section having approximately the shape of a sickle, exhibiting the advantages already characterized at the points of view of the dynamic technique and operation and which are wider on the suction side (at 17) than on the discharge side (at 18) o
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The technical progress achieved by the measures according to the invention consists essentially in a sudden increase in the delivery head and in the flow capacity at constant control power, that is to say in a corresponding improvement in the pressure. yieldo As a result of the well designed water ring;
, the volume of which remains constant, one obtains9 as measurements have shown suction times and manometric heights of suction which until now could only be obtained by means of piston pumps or cuvetteso In addition, the pump according to the invention differs particularly advantageously in that the manufacturing tolerances and the rotor clearance can be chosen larger than hitherto., so that the pump is of less expensive construction and at the same time also insensitive to the action of sand or similar materials.
