VOLET METALLIQUE MECANIQUE ACCORDEON.

ACCORDEON MECHANICAL METAL SHUTTER.
The present invention relates to a mechanical shutter, the cleats of which are folded in accordion-style and eliminate the roll of ordinary shutters and thereby considerably reduces its housing volume.
The invention will be described below with reference to the figures of the accompanying drawing which shows, by way of non-limiting example, one embodiment of the invention.
Figure I shows in profile on the left the taps in their guide (#) and their placement in the raised position
Figure II shows a plan of 4 taps with position of the pivot of the last tap, with grooved pulleys for the left cable o
FIG. III represents in elevation the upper face of the box with indication of the 2 cables and grooved pulleys.
Referring to Fig. I.
I represents the left and right iron guides U 0 The upper curvature is obtained with a radius equal to the length of an external hinge plug. This curvature starts at a determined distance from the pivot 0 This distance is equal to l thickness of all folded slides plus 2 lengths of long slide 2.
2 Long slider with exterior hinge
Short flap with interior hinge.
Pivot of the left cable fixed on the last slide.
.2, Left cable.

6 Left cable pulley.

8 Pivot fixed to the frame - First hinge and shutter support.
9 Support pivot with leaf spring.
OPERATION.
This device works as follows.
The shutter is down. The taps alternate: one exterior hinge, the next interior hinge ensure the accordion movement and the flow of water like tiles on a roof. The traction on the output cable is manifested in 4. All the taps are requested by an upward force. All couplings are in the I grooves and cannot operate.
Only the coupling located in the upper curvature can operate and ensure the folding of each of the hinges when they arrive in the above-indicated curvature. The output cable will then be maintained by one of the many known systems and fixed to the window frame.
Notice Fig. II and III the situation of cables; the cable which is on the side opposite to the traction is brought back by the play of the pulleys next to the first one and becomes integral with the latter in order to obtain an identical traction - on the two ends of the taps and thus obtain a functioning perfectly horizontal.
Note. The outer flaps having the outward folding and the inner flaps having the inward folding therefore constitute two contrary movements. These two movements are obtained in the first case by hooking the flight of taps to an outer hinged tap (large) and in the second case by hooking the volley of taps to an inner hinged tap (small) o
CLAIMS.
1. Mechanical shutter characterized by the accordion movement making it possible to do away with the winding drum of ordinary shutters and thereby reducing the overall spaces in considerable proportions.
