 EMI1.1

<tb> schiste, <SEP> cendrées, <SEP> etc <SEP> 67 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb>

  Laitier <SEP> 3 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb> Ciment <SEP> Portland <SEP> ou <SEP> ordinaire <SEP> 11 <SEP> Kg.5
<tb>
<tb> Sable <SEP> 18 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb>

  Sel <SEP> (chlorure <SEP> de <SEP> calcium) <SEP> 0 <SEP> Kg.5
<tb>

 EMI1.2

<tb> Sable <SEP> 60 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb>

  Laitier <SEP> 25 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb> Ciment <SEP> ordinaire <SEP> 14 <SEP> Kg.5
<tb>
<tb> Sel <SEP> 0 <SEP> Kg.5
<tb>

  PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF BRICKS AND OTHER MATERIALS. OF CONSTRUCTION AND
PRODUCTS OBTAINED BY THIS PROCESS.

   The present invention relates to the manufacture of bricks, paving tiles or other construction materials obtained from shale materials or combustion waste, ash, etc., which are mixed with cement.

   It has been observed that a particularly interesting brick or building material is obtained if the shale materials are added or if sand is substituted for them, depending on whether it is example of exterior or interior wall bricks.

   As examples, the following proportional composition will be used for exterior wall bricks
 EMI1.1

<tb> schist, <SEP> ash, <SEP> etc <SEP> 67 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb>

  Slag <SEP> 3 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb> Cement <SEP> Portland <SEP> or <SEP> ordinary <SEP> 11 <SEP> Kg. 5
<tb>
<tb> Sand <SEP> 18 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb>

  Salt <SEP> (<SEP> of <SEP> calcium) <SEP> 0 <SEP> Kg. 5
<tb>

For interior wall bricks, the following composition will be used:
 EMI1.2

<tb> Sand <SEP> 60 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb>

  Slag <SEP> 25 <SEP> Kg.
<tb>
<tb> Cement <SEP> ordinary <SEP> 14 <SEP> Kg. 5
<tb>
<tb> Sel <SEP> 0 <SEP> Kg. 5
<tb>

The shale or ash and the slag, previously crushed if necessary, are mixed by hand or mechanically with the cement and the sand by adding the whole of water and salt. The suitable volume of water corresponds roughly to 1 liter of water per 20 Kgo of mixed
A dough is thus obtained which is preferably molded in a

 mechanical press, and the formed bricks are finally air dried.

   On the other hand, depending on the intended application, the desired coloring material is added to the mixture.

   As has been said previously, the proportions of the various constituents are given only by way of example, since they can be modified between certain limits depending in particular on the degree of resistance required.

   Claims.

   1. Process for the manufacture of bricks and other construction materials, characterized by the addition to base materials such as shale, ash, slag, a determined quantity of sand.
