 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  "Concrete and mortar manufacturing process and products obtained". @
The present invention relates to a manufacturing process for obtaining concrete and mortar of a richer tone than those currently in use and also relates to new industrial products produced by this process.

   The coloring of concrete and mortars generally depends on the quality, texture and color of the sand used. The tones thus obtained are not really pure, but, on the contrary, scrambled owing to the lack of homogeneity of the grains of sand and the lack of purity of the color of the sand.

   The object of the present invention is to achieve a purity

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 of irreproachable color and provides, for this purpose, that ceramic products, such as earthenware, porcelain, biscuits, earthenware, etc., are added to the usual hydraulic binder, with or without the addition of sand, stones or similar . The oonoassage or the grinding of the various constituents can be done at will, before, during or after their integra- tion into the mass, the mixing, in whatever form it takes, nevertheless always taking place as it is. dry. An industrial product, either concrete or mortar, is therefore obtained in the usual pulverulent form, which differs from the known products by the presence of ceramic products.

   These are brought, before or after mixing, to a desired particle size, determined by the end use of the mixture.

   In order to allow a manufacture which can compete in price with concretes and mortars in common use, the present invention provides in particular that the oeramic products used come from production waste.

   As a non-limiting example of a concrete obtained by the process according to the invention, there may therefore be mentioned a concrete based on cement of the blano Artificial Portland type, colored or colored, with which are mixed. , in the desired proportion, deohets of ceramic products. To achieve very light tones, white porcelain or earthenware is used, while to obtain, for example, yellowish tones, yellow ceramic waste is used. The concrete obtained is remarkably rich in tone and purity, and its use gives the same mechanical resistance results as those of cement mixed with sand. The same observations apply to the mortar obtained by adding wastes of oeramic products.

   The hydraulic binder as the basis for the concrete mix

 or mortar, may itself be colored or not, water-repellent or not and, in general, from any source.
