<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

IMPROVEMENT IN: TABLE AND SIMILAR FOOTBALL GAMES.
The invention relates to table football games and the like and its object is more particularly to improve the scorer device indicating the goals or goals won by one and the other of the opposing players.
According to an advantageous form of the invention, the case of the marker is divided into separate compartments numbered on a transparent outer plate and in number corresponding to that of the balls to be played; in each of these compartments is placed a lamp which is successively lit by the ball when it falls inside the game table, the lighting of a lamp possibly also causing the extinction of the preceding one.
The drawing appended to this specification shows, solely by way of example, this embodiment of the invention. In this drawing,
Fig 1 is a partial schematic view of the interior of a table football game .. and
Fig. 2 shows an elevation view and a plan view of one of the keys operated by the ball.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, there are provided inside the table a two boards b starting respectively from each orifice c (seen from below), constituting the goals or goals of the game. 1, only one of the planchettes is shown, the other is symmetrically arranged with respect to the X-Y axis; consequently, in this presentation we will only discuss the device corresponding to the goal, 2 ,. the operation being identical for the two camps.
The board b has from the orifice c a determined slope facilitating the rolling of the balls towards an outlet mouth closed in a known manner by means of a sheet metal wall operable by the rod of the coin changer, after introduction into the latter of the coin or token provided. On this board b are fixed at a certain distance from each other two blocks d serving as supports for a metal rod or other e passing through keys 1: so as to serve as their pivot. These keys are arranged successively next to each other with a certain play.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The keys f, the number of which is equal to that of the balls, are made of insulating material. In this case, they are made of plastic material and widen at one of their ends to form a plate f ', Each key! door on the side of the plateau! ' two contact parts g and g 'capable of contactor two terminals h and h' fixed to the board b. Likewise, at its opposite end, every key! carries a contact strip 1 capable of contacting two terminals m and m '.
The terminals h are connected to a conductor n itself connected to one of the poles of a battery or other source of electricity o housed in the table a, while the terminals m are connected to a conductor n connected to the 'other pole of said battery o. On the other hand, the terminals h ', m' are connected by suitable conductors to the terminals r and r 'of lamps housed in separate compartments of the scorer housing, each compartment corresponding to a goal number. In the drawing, these lamps and compartments are represented diagrammatically by a numbered circle; in the present case there are eleven, this number being that of the balls. The case is closed at its upper part by a luminous plate: glass or plastic, bearing the desired numbering.
It should be noted however that the first key has only one contact m and that the last lamp, or N 11 in the present case, is supplied directly by the battery by an additional conductor s. The mass of each key is fixed to the next key.
Finally, under each key !, except the last one, numbered 11, is attached a tab t which extends horizontally under the key! neighbor by supporting it, so that each key cannot be lowered without the previous one having been previously.
The different keys! are carried by the rod e so that at rest their plate! 'is raised relative to their other end, the electrical contacts 11. and h and g' and h 'being open, while the blades are normally in contact with the terminals m and m ', except the reservation made regarding the first key.
When a ball enters the goal hole c, it is guided towards the plateau! 'Of the f keys. but is without action on these until it reaches the key? 1, the others being joined together by the legs t, So the ball presses on the key? 1 and consequently closes the electrical contacts g and h and g 'and h', the contacts at the other end of said key being open.
As a result, the current is established in the lamp N 1
When a second ball enters the goal c, it acts in the same way with the key? 2, 'which it will freely tilt in turn, and will cause the lighting of the lamp housed in the marker compartment also bearing the N 2 But, at the same time, it will cause the extinction of the lamp N 1 given that the mass of the key? 1 is fixed to the key N 2 which cut the current on the lamp N 1 by tilting.
A third ball entering the goal. ± will press the key? 3, which will be able to rotate because the key N 2 is already lowered and consequently has released the key N 3 from the action of its paw t, And so on, so that the eleventh ball entered in the goal will cause the lighting of the lamp? 11 and the extinction of the lamp N 10. All the balls are thus placed on the successive keys and the lamp 11 will be extinguished in its turn by an operation of the coin mechanism lever, which will allow the balls to be stored in the device. the ad hoc locker.
This automatic lighting device allows the assembly of the mobile numbered plugs forming the usual abacus. It is understood that the invention is not limited to the constructive device described above, it could be produced by other appropriate means belonging to the electrical technique of lighting.
