Dit probleem wordt door de spatlap volgens de uitvinding op- gelost, doordat op elk der bevestigingsstroken of op de spatlap aan de zijde van deze stroken één of meer verhogingen zijn aangebracht, welke elk door één der openingen kan worden gestoken en welke elk voorzien zijn van een kanaal, waarin;

The invention relates to a mudflap, provided with mounting strips integrally formed with the mudflap, wherein one or more holes are provided in or under each of these strips in the material of the mudflap.
Such mud flaps are known in various designs. The difficulty of these demarcating mud flaps is to attach the mud flap to the mudguard in an easy and reliable manner.
This problem is solved by the mud flap according to the invention, in that on each of the fastening strips or on the mud flap on the side of these strips one or more elevations are provided, each of which can be inserted through one of the openings and each of which is provided with a channel, in which;
after the bump has been introduced into the corresponding opening, a fixing member can be inserted. The elevations can be of such dimensions that they can easily be inserted through the holes made in the mud flap. The channel which is arranged in these elevations. can run both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the elevations. The fixation member can be bent after insertion into the channel so that it cannot fall out of the channel. The elevations can be fitted to both the front and rear of the mudflap, as the fastening strips can be bent both forward and backward over the support bars of a mudguard.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, in which, by way of example, two embodiments of a mudflap according to the invention are shown.
Figure 1 shows a front view of a mud flap according to the invention
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Figure 2 is a sectional view of an attachment strip taken on the line II-II of Figure 1
Figure 3 shows a top view of another embodiment of a fastening strip
The mud flap 1 shown in figure 1, which is preferably made of rubber, has at the top two fastening strips 2, 3, on each of which an elevation 4, respectively 5 is arranged. These elevations can be vulcanised during production and vulcanization or on a can be arranged thereon in any other way. In each of these elevations a channel 6, 7, respectively, is provided, which is in the longitudinal direction of the elevation 4, strip. 5 runs (fig 2)
or goes straight through the elevation 8 (fig. 3). It is clear that, in particular in the embodiment according to fig. 3, more than one transverse channel can be provided.
Slots 9 and 10 are provided in the mudguard under the elevations 4 and 5. These slots are so large that the elevations 4 and 5 can easily be inserted through them.
When the mud flap according to the invention is fitted, the fastening strips are placed around the support rods of a mudguard, after which the elevations 4 and 5 are inserted into the slots 9 and 10. On the other side of the mud flap, pins, split pins or similar elements are inserted through the channels 6, 7 respectively, which can be bent over after fitting.
The elevations and the slots can, if desired, exchange places, while on either side of the slots, if desired, channeled elevations can also be provided, through which the fixing members pass. Other modifications can also be made without departing from the scope of the invention. For example, the holes are made round, into which round elevations in cross-section can be inserted.
