On a déjà imaginé des supports pour essuies et linges de tous genres mettant à profit les propriétés élastiques du caoutchouc, mais les supports connus de ce type présentent l'inconvénient d'être de construction peu pratique et trop coûteuse.
Le support conforme à l'invention obvie à cet inconvénient grâce à ce qu'il est simplement constitué par une barrette en bois ou en matériau équivalent pourvue d'un certain nombre d'entailles transversales, lesquelles sont recouvertes -hacune par une surface en caoutchouc fendue suivant le mi- lieu de l'entaille, de manière à permettre l'introduction dans celles-ci du bord ou autre partie d'un essuie ou d'un linge, qui y sera retenu par le redressement et le rapprochement des lèvres des fentes de la surface élasti- queo
Suivant une forme préférée de l'invention, .ce support est asso- cié sur une planche adéquate à un porte-savon et à un porte-peignes.

Dans la forme d'exécution représentée en Fig. 1 et 2, le support à essuies comprend essentiellement une barrette en bois 1, dans laquelle sont ménagées un certain nombre d'entailles rectangulaires 2. Sur la barret- te 1, présentant une forme sensiblement cylindrique sur. sa face antérieure, est fixée, au moyen d'une bande métallique longitudinale 4 et d'étriers métalliques 5, une bande élastique 3 en caoutchouc ou toute autre matière équivalente.

We have already imagined supports for towels and cloths of all kinds taking advantage of the elastic properties of rubber, but the known supports of this type have the drawback of being of impractical and too expensive construction.
The support according to the invention obviates this drawback by virtue of the fact that it is simply constituted by a bar of wood or of equivalent material provided with a certain number of transverse notches, which are each covered by a rubber surface. slit along the middle of the notch, so as to allow the introduction into them of the edge or other part of a towel or a cloth, which will be retained there by the straightening and bringing together of the lips of the slits in the elastic surface
According to a preferred form of the invention, this support is associated on a suitable board with a soap dish and a comb holder.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and 2, the towel holder essentially comprises a wooden bar 1, in which are formed a number of rectangular notches 2. On the bar 1, having a substantially cylindrical shape on. its front face is fixed, by means of a longitudinal metal strip 4 and metal brackets 5, an elastic band 3 made of rubber or any other equivalent material.

It is easy to understand that if the edge of a towel is introduced from the front or from above, for example, between the lips of the slots 6, these will move away first by plunging into the notch referred to, then they will stand up when the towel is tightened, which will thus be held in place by its border. A slight pull on the towel will allow it to be detached from the support.
