and in particular the following t the triangular tab which is folded against the wall of the box, forms a curve of large dimensions capable of catching other packaging. The pocket of this triangular tab can also form a receptacle for pulverulent products contained in the packaging. These drawbacks are particularly important if the triangular tab is not fixed to the wall over its entire surface *
The risks of catching the products contained in the box by the triangular tab are particularly serious when this tab is folded inside the box (figure lh).
2 - The angle of the box is asymmetrical and therefore unsightly.
3 - The angle of the box is reinforced only on the side where the tab is folded, the other wall is not reinforced and can tear where the fold weakens its resistance *
The present inventim aims to remedy this * Disadvantages *
It relates to a process for the manufacture of boxes from sheets of products such as cardboard, aluminum or others, characterized in that the angles of the box are reinforced * by folding and folding back the folds on the two adjacent faces, which allows to achieve angles that are resistant and pleasant in appearance.
The invention also extends to a method according to the predecessor and characterized in that the folding of the angles forms two triangular tabs which are folded symmetrically against the side walls forming this angle *
The invention extends to these methods regardless of the tool used; however, the invention also extends to machines for carrying out the preceding or pro-

According to another form of the invention, the tools are arranged in successive stages, which makes it possible, by downward movement of the sheet to be formed, to conform this sheet by means of tools and) having successively *
The invention extends to products in accordance with those obtained according to the process of the invention and in particular to boxes characterized by corner reinforcements of the box formed by folding against the adjacent walls of the folds or tab: - triangular formed at the angles by folding.
The invention finally extends to the characteristics described below and to their various possible combinations.

If the box is present * - a folded edge, the above operations are completed by those shown in Figures 15 and 16.
In this case, the prior cutting of the sheet presents the parts aa'm, bb'n (figure 2), or hh'a, tilt (figure 6); these parts protrude outside the periphery of the punches 2 after the die 8 has been brought together, as can be seen in figure 15.

A machine for implementing the above method is shown by way of example in Figures 17 to 24.
This machine comprises the following essential elements:
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
a) a punch, having a parallelepipedal part 2 and a part with a trapezoidal section 3. b) a cap 9, capable of sliding on part 2 of the punch and having a lower efete II for the folding of the edges of the box. c) a vertical piston 12, the section of which corresponds substantially to the surface of the bottom of the box.

These support plates 2u are secured to cylindrical rods 25 (figures 2u, 21 , 22,23 & 24) which can roll between pairs of rollers 26, 27 arranged in the corners of the frame 13.

- Double cone rollers 7 (Figure 21) mounted in fields 29 integral with rods 3u. These cylindrical rods 3u can roll between two pairs of rollers 31, 32 carried by the frame 13, and arranged below the support plates 2u. The rollers 7 are biased along arrow f.7 by a spring 33 (Figure 18).
The Machine described above works in the following way:
The cardboard sheet is placed on the support plates 20 and properly centered. The whole. punch 2, 3 and cap 9 then move vertically in the direction of arrow F.2, until it touches sheet 1. The assembly 2; 3, 9 continuing its next run f. 2, the sheet begins to deform, the angles being pinched between the pairs of rollers. :, 1 52 elastically pushed against the sheet 1, while the edges are applied against the inclined faces of the punch 3 by the cylindrical rollers 21; the first phase represented * in FIG. 9 is thus carried out.
The punch 2, 3 continuing its course in the direction of the arrow f.2 the round fold 6 closed by the pairs of rollers 51 52 meets the double-cone rollers 7 which symmetrically flatten this fold 6, against the adjacent faces of the box. This is the second phase shown in Figures 11 and 12.
In this moved the bottom of the box 1 is calf to apply on the upper face of the piston IL, and then driven this piston in the direction of arrow f.2.
