à canon mobi-le ou basculant;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
2 représente la vis de réglage qui entre en contact par son extrémité 60 avec la face antérieure 61 de la détente 26. Cette vis'est engagée à la naissance de la partie antérieure du pontet 23,;

Descriptive memorandum in support of the Belgian patent application for; "IMPROVEMENTS IN AIR RIFLE CONSTRUCTION WITH CANNON
FIXED AND MOBILE CANNON ". Anonymous Company A R M A F in Liége. /
The object of the present patent is to improve the constructions of an air rifle 4 fixed barrel and movable barrel, 'which, for the fixed barrel rifle include the following embodiments,
The hand maneuvering lever operates by means of another lever to which it is articulated, the recoil of the piston and consequently the hooking of the piston rod to the trigger,
this manual operating lever being held at rest against the barrel by a ball housed in its front end and held by a coil spring. ,, @
The lead is introduced into the barrel through a practical opening.
EMI1.1
ticked in the upper part of it and pushes into the body of a tap which then turned a quarter turn brings the lead to a good place in the barrel.
The trigger mechanism is constituted by a pivoting part in a housing formed in the closing plug engaged

and provided with the hooking spout on the piston rod.
The trigger mechanism is completed by a flat return spring fixed by a screw on the rear face of the trigger and sliding through its other end on the rear face of the bottom of the housing made in the plug. A screw placed at the beginning of the anterior part of the trigger guard is in contact by its free end with the anterior face of the trigger and thus makes it possible, by its adjustment, to obtain a slow or fast start of the trigger at will.
The body of the rifle or cylinder is drawn from the mass,
With regard to the movable barrel rifle, the internal mechanics of the rifle as well as that of the trigger are identical to those of the fixed barrel rifle discussed above.
The cocking is done by using, instead of a maneuvering lever, the barrel as usual. The barrel is monobloo, '
As with the fixed barrel rifle, the body or cylinder is obtained by mass.
The closure system consists of two parts, one of which is fixed pressed into the body of the rifle and the other mobile / housed and guided in the sleeve or rear part of the barrel,
In order to bring out the above description more clearly, the accompanying drawings represent.
Fig.I is a sectional elevation along the longitudinal axis of a fixed barrel air rifle.
Fig. 2 a cross section in elevation following A-B, fig. I showing the loading device closed, the lead being assumed to be introduced,
Fig.3 a section similar to Fig.2 the tank device. gement turned by a 1/4 turn for the lead loading,
Fig, 4 partially shows a sectional elevation along the longitudinal axis in the front part of a rifle
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
with movable or tilting barrel;
Referring to Figs. I and 2, 1 shows the fixed barrel, the posterior part of which is engaged by threading in the anterior end of the body of the rifle or cylinder 14 drawn from the mass, the posterior part of which is similarly engaged on the anterior part of the rifle. cap 25 of the rifle.
The arming system is constituted by the hand operating lever 44 articulated at its rear part, for example in the form of a fork on a pin or screw 8 held by the setting screw such as 9. This lever 44 is held at rest. against the fastening part 47 integral with the barrel I by a ball 45 housed in its hollow end and held by the spring 46: On this operating lever 44, in its split rear part, is articulated in 8 the front end of the lever of actual armament 32, the other end of which drives the piston 33 in the usual way. This cylinder 33 is provided with the rod 36 intended to hook by its free end to the trigger 26.
In the upper part of the cylinder 14 and of the barrel I is made an opening 51 opening into a perforation 52 of a part 48 in the form of a plug engaged through the front part of the cylinder and of the barrel. This part 48 is operated in a rotary direction, by the knurled outer part 53 and retained by means of a washer 49 bearing in a lateral recess of the cylinder 14 by means of a screw 50.
It is easily understood that by making the plug 48 perform a quarter turn, its perforation 52 is brought into the axis of the opening 51 which allows the lead to be introduced, then that by turning again a quarter turn in In the opposite direction, the perforation 52 is brought into the longitudinal axis of the barrel I and thus the lead is properly placed engaged in the barrel, while the orifice of the perforation 51 is blocked by the solid part of the plug 48.
The trigger is represented by 26 and pivots at 27 in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
housing or wide groove 54 made in the bouphon 25.
At 55 is shown the flat spring 56, one end of which is fixed at 57 on the trigger while its free end 58 slides on the face 59 of the bottom of the housing 54 of the plug 25.
2 shows the adjustment screw which comes into contact at its end 60 with the front face 61 of the trigger 26. This screw is engaged at the start of the front part of the trigger guard 23;
The movable or tilting barrel I rifle, see fig. 3, has the same mechanisms as above. The barrel I acts as an operating lever for, by means of the cocking lever 32, driving the piston 33, the rod of which is represented by 36.
It will be noted that the barrel I is in one piece and, as above, that the cylinder 14 is pulled from the mass in the sense that it is integral with the fork forming its front extension in which is engaged the hinge screw 3 on which the canon I,
As for the closure, it is made by two parts, one fixed 15 pressed into the lower front part of the body or cylinder 14, the other mobile 5 urged by the spring 6 housed and guided in a perforation qe the lower rear part of canon I.
It goes without saying that other details or variants of execution than those shown can be envisaged, without departing from the scope of the scope of the present patent, which may be characterized by the following.
CLAIMS improvements to the constructions of air rifles, fixed barrel and mobile barrel, characterized by the following points coit- sidered together or separately.
