L'invention vise à établir des clefs perfectionnées pour la manipulation d'écrous, de boulons ou analogues..
L'invention comporte la combinaison d'une tête présentant une chambre cylindrique, et formée sur ou fixée à une poignée de comman- de, d'un élément destiné à s'engager sur la pièce à manipuler, monté à rotation dans la dite chambre, et de moyens qui constituent les éléments d'un accouplement à friction à sens unique ou à "roue libre", interposé entre la dite tête et le dit élément destiné à s'engager sur la pièce à manipuler.

Le dispositif selon l'invention fonctionne comme suit :
Après que l'élément rotatif f a été engagé sur la pièce à mani- nuler, le déplacement du levier a dans un sens a pour effet de coincer le dit élément par rapport à la tête b, le déplacement du dit levier dans le sens opposé demeurant libre, pour obtenir une rotation dans le sens opposé de la pièce à manipuler, on retourne la clef.
Grâce à la présente invention, on peut établir une clef de serrage du type à cliquet, et cela sous une tonne très simple et judicieuse qui élimine les désavantages des modes de réalisation connus de clefs de serrage de ce type, dans lesquels il est fait usage de dents pour assurer la prise entre la tête de la clef et l'élément rotatif appelé à s'engager sur la pièce à manipuler6
