Glass cutter in fusiog.-
The invention relates to a molten glass feeder, clite "feeder", intended for the automatic feeding of machines used for the manufacture of glassware.
Its main object is to establish an apparatus of this type, which makes it possible to properly adjust the temperature of the glass debited, with a view to ensuring the desired homogeneity of the glass and, consequently, the regularity of its flow and of its quality. .,
There are, as we know, several types of feeder which, generally, comprise a piston, or other similar member \ vertical reciprocating movement. Worked like a pump and pushing the glass, at the desired times, towards the outlet. But, with all these devices, it happens that, when there is a change in the flow rate of the glass for whatever reason, this is caused)
inevitably a variation in the speed of the glass in the channel where the feeder is housed. Excellent insulation of the @anal cannot even prevent the temperature drop of the wart during its journey, so that any variation in flow , glass between

In its practical embodiment, the apparatus comprises a feed channel starting from the melting basin and returning to this same basin and in which are arranged, on the one hand, the feeder delivery member and, on the other hand. on the other hand the member for setting the glass in motion.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, an embodiment of an apparatus established in accordance with the invention.
Fig.l of these drawings is a vertical section of the feeder, showing the end of the melting furnace basin. Fig. 2 is the horizontal section.
Fig.3 is a detail sectional view of the pneumatic control of the lens drive member; fig. 4 is the plan view of the ice from the dispenser.
Figs. 5 and 6 are sectional views of two other variants of the drive member.
As can be seen in these drawings, the apparatus comprises a curved or angled channel a, starting at al, from the basin b of the melting furnace or other source of fluid glass, and returning at a2, in this same basin. The glass thus follows, in the feed channel a, the course indicated by the arrows d (see fig. 2).
In the middle part of the channel a, for example in its curved part, is arranged the delivery piston e, with reciprocating vertical movement, the lower end of which, of suitable shape, can propel the glass through the orifice. evaouation f arranged in the bottom of the channel, preferably in a piece h attached to the background, any suitable mechanism can be provided to communicate on p. iston e, in The known manner, its upward movement and descehda @@ t.

The drive member of the glass can also be @ mechanical action and, for example, very simply consist of a rotary member with continuous or reciprocating movement, in particular of the kind of a paddle wheel or paddle wheel, single or multiple. , such as p (fig.) or q (fig.6), the movement of which causes the continuous or intermittent advancement of the glass in the feeder channel.
This member for driving the molten glass, either of the type of Figs. 1,2 and 3, or of the type of Figs. 5 and 6, or of any other suitable type, can be placed at any point of the feed channel, either avatile flow piston or preferably a @ rès this piston as shown in fig. 1 and 2. This member will ensure the constant, intermittent or continuous circulation of the glass in the channel of It is understood that, thanks to this constant circulation of the glass, which can moreover be regulated at will by varying the speed of operation of the drive member,
the glass will always be maintained in the feed channel at the desired temperature to ensure its fluidity and homogeneity, even during slowing down or even when the feeder flow is stopped.
It goes without saying that the details of the execution of the invention which have been shown and described above have only been shown by way of examples of embodiment of the invention and that it is 'susceptible of all variations, in particular with regard to the constitution and the order of the debtor organs and of training.
