<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The reinforcement of the walls is precisely necessary for the hearth pipes executed in metal with high chrome, ear, otherwise they would not be able to withstand the tensions which arise as a result of the. poor conductivity of these alloys during temperature variations and during unilateral heating. The resulting high consumption of raw material lowers the cost of manufacture and, moreover, causes stress unfavorable to welding rights.
The tubing (the fireplace is in fact simply welded by its upper edge to the rest of the equipment without there being any other support. The vibrations which occur during use, in particular during transport service , subject the weld to significant stresses which are all the greater as the weight of the hearth tube is greater.
The high raw material requirements of these hearth pipes also require a relatively large proportion of additional metals (eg chromium) which are expensive and possibly difficult to supply.
Careful research has shown that the high calorific stresses are not at all the same over the entire extent of the tubing, but that the latter is rather strongly stressed by heat in fairly narrowly delimited areas and that , for the 2nd est, the heat acts only moderately. On the other hand, it appeared that the simple conical drill of the lower part of the tubing is not able to withstand the mechanical stresses which arise as a result of the strong heating and the variations in temperature.
Therefore, the object of the invention is a hearth pipe which, without seeing its reduced value of use, can be manufactured much more easily and;
