 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  "Advanced packaging for food products".

   The present invention relates to a typical packaging for food products and more particularly plant extracts. Usually these products are packaged in glass, porcelain, metal etc. containers. These containers are furnished with labels and various trim elements. The invention relates more particularly to these trim elements.

   The aim of the invention is to produce a package completely surrounded by an original covering, which offers; at the same time as the maximum guarantee for the consumer, great ease in its implementation.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   It must in fact be considered that these coverings must be adapted quickly by generally secondary personnel and that it is important not to excessively raise the cost price of the goods. Substantially, the packaging according to the invention consists of a single sheet of paper or similar material, of rectangular shape, which is wound around the packaging itself. This sheet of paper is higher than the height of the post, which is, for example, cylindrical. The upper and lower protrusions are folded down on both sides of the container by a series of approximately radial folds. The container is thus completely surrounded.

   According to an original characteristic of the invention, the tops of all the folded-down parts of one or both sides are joined together by a plastic chad material, such as wax for example. The seal thus formed forms at the same time an ideal closure and a means of imprisoning a guarantee element, formed, for example, by a small tongue, a piece of cord or any other element capable of fulfilling the same function. In addition, this element of guarantee constitutes an easy and expeditious means of opening the packaging, by making it possible to instantly blow off the plastic seal when hot, thus freeing the folded parts.

   These very simple but very characteristic prescriptions can obviously be applied in practice in various forms. Such an embodiment is described below and shown schematically in the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is an elevational view of a container packaged in accordance with the invention; Figure 2 is a radial view.

   According to these figures, the packaging is therefore formed by a sheet of paper 1, which completely surrounds the cylindrical container 2. The upper and lower edges are folded down so as to cover the faces to and 4 of the container with a series of sec-

   teurs 5 partially overlapping. All the tops of the sectors ¯5 thus folded down are secured by a hot plastic pellet 6, such as wax for example.

  Only this junction and closure patch can obviously receive any imprints, constituting, for example, a seal of guarantee and authenticity. Likewise, this hot plastic material can retain a tab 7, formed, for example, by a piece of tape, paper or other similar element, constituting an additional guarantee element and therefore being able to bear all appropriate indications. This same tab can be used as an instant means of unpacking.

   Indeed, by exerting a pull on this tongue in the appropriate direction, it is possible to instantly pop the wax seal 6 and thus automatically release the folded elements 5,
The various elements described above could obviously be replaced by any other equivalent elements having the same function.

   CLAIMS.

   1.- Improved packaging for containers containing food products and more particularly plant extracts, meat extracts or others, characterized in that it consists in wrapping the container in a sheet of paper, the edges of which are folded over. above and below said container on the bases thereof, the tops of the sectors thus folded down being secured by a hot plastic material.
