Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Construction element.
In a previous patent N 441.?07, dated June 12, 1941, I described a brick or other construction element formed of cement, ash and wood chips or straw, the addition of chips of wood forming the essential characteristic of these cement and ash bricks.
The present invention also relates to the use of the wood chips for the manufacture of other building elements, in particular, partition plates and ceiling plates. Ceiling panels have hitherto been made of plaster and fibers; these plates are rather difficult to lay, because they lack rigidity. For this reason, they can only have a fairly small surface. According to the invention, such plates are made. of plaster and wood chips, mixed in suitable proportions; preferably, sawdust or wood flour is also added to the mixture.
The plates thus produced can be made in relative dimensions.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
extremely large; they can be given a thickness of about 1 centimeter more than the usual plaster and fiber boards, to give them great rigidity which allows easy installation by direct nailing to the joists. One of the faces of the plate can be roughened, grooved, etc., directly during manufacture, the other face being perfectly smooth and being able to constitute the facing face.
The invention also extends the use of wood chips to the manufacture of other building elements, for example slabs or blocks for partitioning, formed from a mixture of hydraulic lime and shavings, or lime. hydraulic, shavings and ash, or even partitioning blocks formed of mortar and wood chips and, in general, the invention provides for the incorporation of wood chips, with or without sawdust, with or without ash, with hydraulic lime, mortar or any other fast or slow setting binder, with the exception of the cement already provided for in patent N 441,707 for the manufacture by molding, preferably under light pressure, of construction elements such as bricks, blocks, slabs, tiles.
CLAIMS.
1. Construction element, characterized in that the binder with rapid setting or not, plaster, hydraulic lime, mortar, etc., with the exception of cement, are incorporated wood chips, for molding.
