<EMI ID=2.1>

<EMI ID=4.1>

To increase the rate of automatic weapons
or machine guns, it is common practice to use elastic elements that store the living force that possesses,
at the end of its recoil stroke, the weapon mechanism, and
return it to the latter at the start of his return to the drums.
The accelerators of this kind do not increase, during, the normal shooting, the fatigue of the parts. tear. On the other hand, when we want to stop the shooting, the trigger must stop a mechanism launched at high speed, and is then subjected
<EMI ID = 2.1>
other parts; there is therefore an advantage in amortizing this
shock on the trigger by making it itself elastic.
The invention relates to an arrangement which makes it possible to use the same components as a speed accelerator and
as a trigger damper.
According to the invention, the mechanism of the weapon is subjected to the action of accelerating members formed of elastic ele-ments (springs, Belleville washers, rubber etc.) which at the same time serve as damping members of the trigger when firing is stopped.
For this purpose, the trigger is carried by a movable member which can move in the direction towards which, when firing, the trigger is requested, in antagonism to the action of the aforementioned elastic elements, which constantly tend to maintain said movable member and the trigger. in their normal position.
The elastic elements are interposed between a part. on which the mechanism of the weapon acts at the end of the recoil stroke, and a part which follows the movements of the movable member carrying the trigger, each of these parts being capable of forming a stop for the elastic elements when they are compressed through the other room.
According to a variant, the elastic elements constantly bear against the same fixed stop and are compressed in the same direction by the mechanism of the weapon, and by the movable member carrying the trigger *
According to one embodiment, the movable member consists of a sliding drawer carrying an axis on which the trigger pivots.
This drawer carries a tenon which constitutes one of the supporting parts of the elastic elements.
According to a variant, the drawer itself contains
the elastic elements' which are then placed between two members, either one or the other, collide with fixed stops during the movement of this drawer, which moves in one direction or the other, from an average position, depending on whether the elastic elements function as a cadence accelerator or as a trigger damper.
According to another embodiment, the movable member is constituted by one or more oscillating levers centered around a fixed axis and which are articulated to the trigger, so that any movement of the latter forward corresponds an oscillating movement of this or these levers, a movement which occurs in antagonism to the action of the elastic elements.
The trigger spring is placed between the trigger and a fixed member with the interposition of a ball-joint guide or a sliding guide.
According to a variant, this spring is interposed between the trigger and the movable member which carries it.
Other characteristics and particularities of the invention will emerge from the description which will be given with reference to the appended drawings which represent, diagrammatically and simply by way of example, various embodiments of the invention:
On these drawings t

other variations.
In the realization of figs. 1 and 2, the accelerated. tor of the cadence de.l'arme is constituted by a member 1 subjected to the action of elastic elements 2 which may be of any nature (springs, rubber, Belle-ville washers etc.). When the cylinder head 1 reaches the end of its recoil stroke, it hits this member 1 and compresses the elements
<EMI ID = 4.1>
that they then restore to the cylinder head 1 at the start of its next forward stroke, which causes an increase in speed.
According to the invention, these elastic elements

Operation occurs under the following conditions
As long as firing continues, the elements 2 play exclusively their role of accelerator, taking support,.

When to stop firing, release the trigger

these of the weapon, at the moment of stopping firing, are considerably reduced.

As shown in fig. 2, we can advantageously have two accelerators cooperating with a single sliding drawer 6.
The invention can also be carried out according to
<EMI ID = 12.1>
indicative fact that we will describe a few others.
In the example of figs. 3 to 6, the drawer 6 forms one and the same part with the housing 8 which, in this case, is therefore mobile. This housing has two bores in each of which is disposed an accelerator-damper assembly

Fig. 8 shows another embodiment in which the sliding drawer is replaced by a lever 6

is carried by one of the branches of this lever, the other branch of which is in contact with a sleeve 2 against which the elastic element 2 acts. This lever 6 plays exactly the same role as the slide 6 of the previous figures. - that is, when firing stops, the forward movement of the trigger is damped because this lever 6 compresses the element

In the embodiment of FIG. 9, the axis .2 of the trigger is also carried by one of the branches of a lever 6, the other branch of which is engaged, with a clearance J,
<EMI ID = 22.1>
This game allows the free functioning of this organ as an accelerator during firing. When firing is stopped, the upper branch of the lever Ç tends to move to the left by compressing the elements 2 which thus ensure the damping of the movement of the trigger towards the front.

The realization of FIG. 10 differs from the previous one by the arrangement of the lever 6, which, in this case, acts on the elastic elements 2 in the opposite direction of
