Toutefois,
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Stripping separator device for mowers.
This invention relates to a stripping separator device for mowers.
The mowers are generally fitted at the end of the cutting blade with a dividing shoe intended to clamp, before cutting, the grasses located in the path of the cutting lane and the rest of the crop. However,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
in the case of very heavy or spilled crops, frequently a "jam" occurs at the outer end of the cutter bar and in the outer divider shoe. The cut grass is piled up there, in particular by downwind, to the point that it becomes necessary to make follow the mower by a worker equipped with a pole or a rake to carry out the clearing by hand.
This disadvantage is even more marked if the mower is fitted with a device for regulating the windrows.
The device according to the invention which overcomes these drawbacks comprises, in combination with the cutting device and, optionally, with the usual separating device, a conveyor device arranged laterally to the separator ùsùel and towards the interior of the latter and re - preferably up to the usual device used to receive or regulate the windrows, thus effectively preventing the stagnation of the cut grass near the cutting blade, eliminating any possibility of tampering.
In the appended drawing which shows, by way of example of the embodiment of the invention, an embodiment of a stripping device applied to a splitter equipped with a device for regularizing the windrows:

The whole is ooupleted by a shoe I) JI, of appropriate shape (Fig. 1) suitably secured to the mask 12 in which it is worn, and having on its posterior face

at the rear, a cavity in which the front end of the mower dividing shoe umel 1 engages, so as to increase the mower's attachment points and to avoid, more definitely, "jamming".
Rods 22, 23, 24 (Fig. 1) are intended to divide and support the head of the cut crop. A guide 25 has been provided to prevent the crop from pushing against chain 16.
The operation is as follows:
During the slow advance of the mower moving in the direction of arrow G in Fig. 2, the wheel 6 while rolling on the ground determines, by means of the pinions 8, 9 and the shaft 10, the rotational speed of the chain wheel la in the direction of arrow F in Fig. # 2, with a speed preferably equal to the forward speed of the mower.
The teeth 19 which protrude on the edge 20 of the casing 12 at the height of the cutting bar 26, lead towards the rear of the mower, in the direction of the arrow F and as it is cut, the harvest, up to the usual windrow board 26 which layers it on the ground in the usual manner,: in. thus preventing the cut crop from being parked near the cutting bar 26 and creating a nag there.
In the case of duplications of this device on mowers equipped with an apparatus for regularizing the andalns, indicated schematically at 27 in FIG. 3, the teeth 28 of this apparatus pick up the crop fed by the teeth 19 of the endless chain while also effectively preventing bumps of the cutting bar.
The shape of the special links shown in Fig. 5 and 6 which constitute the teeth of the endless chain, could present any arrangement other than that indicated
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
said teeth being able to be attached by screwing, bolting, riveting or otherwise on the ... lugs themselves.
The endless chain 16 of FIG. 1 and 2, could be replaced, as shown in Fig. 7, by a -barrette 29 connected by articulations 30 to receiving guide ciscues 31, as in the case of FIG. 1 and 2, a rotational movement controlled by the shaft 10, the inner edge of this bar comprising teeth or protrusions 32; said bar may or may not have an active length equal to the active length of the endless chain 16 of FIGS, 1 and 2.
We could also, as in FIG. 8, have arms 33 articulated on the mask 12 and articulated on a common chas- sis 34 receiving its movement from the crank plates 31 communicating to these arms 33 a back-and-forth movement combined with a forward movement, such that these arms move in the direction of advance of the crop, projecting outside the mask 12, while they are concealed inside this mask during the movement in the reverse direction.
Cn could also, as indicated at Pin 9, articulate the arms 33 on the mask 12, by means of cranks 35, of appropriate length.
The control of the elements accompanying the harvest could be effected by means of a ratchet taking on the end of the cutting bar, or by a chain transmission, gear or other, coming from the drum used to regulate the cuts. windrows, or in any other suitable manner.
The invention applies to mowing machines for all applications and whatever their size.
