La présente invention se rapporte aux vêtements, particulièrement aux rubans élastiques pour vêtements et plus spécialement pour les vêtements de dessous.

Ces ceintures comportent généralement plusieurs épais- seurs de matière; la bande de caoutchouc et la coulisse sont fixées l'une à l'autre de telle manière que, cha- que fois que le caoutchouc ou la coulisse est étiré, ces deux éléments doivent se déplacer ensemble et il en résulte une sensation de traction ou d''étirage sur la peau de l'usager,
Le but principal de l'invention est d'é- viter cet inconvénient et, conformément à ladite nven- tion, la coulisse, la bande de caoutchouc et le vête- ment sont fixés l'un sur l'autre par une rangée de points extensibles, de façon à laisser à l'un des bords du ruban de caoutchouc et de la coulisse un mouvement relativement libre l'un par rapport à l'autre.
Conformément à une autre caractéristique de la présente invention, la coulisse en matière tex- tile (de préférence en matière extensible) est repliée autour de la bande de caoutchouc, de façon à former un recouvrement dans le voisinage d'un des bords du caoutchouc et le bord du vêtement pénètre entre les parties de la coulisse qui se recouvrento tandis que la couture passe à travers le recouvrement, à travers le bord du caoutchouc et à travers la surface de la coulisse, afin de fixer et de fermer la coulisse et de fixer le ruban tout entier sur le vêtement.
On utilise ainsi un minimum de matière pour produire ce ruban et la partie principale du ruban c'est-à-dire toute la largeur située au-dessus du bord inférieurest constituée par une coulisse se déplaçant librement et renfermant le ruban plat en caoutchouc, grâce à quoi la coulisse et le caoutchouc se dépla-
