SOUPAPE A DOUBLE EFFET

REVENDICATIONS

DOUBLE ACTING VALVE
The present invention is more particularly applicable to devices comprising a single-acting cylinder, the piston of which, driven by compressed air or other driving fluid, returns to its starting position under the action of its own weight, of a - counterweight or equivalent.
It relates to a double-acting valve device, intended to allow remote control of the arrival of motor fluid to the cylinder, and its exhaust.
This device is characterized in that it comprises a chapel forming two chambers connected respectively to the use and to the supply of pressurized fluid, the first chamber being provided with two valves, one which opens towards the arrival chamber of the pressurized fluid, the other which opens towards the open air and receives the operating thrust, being linked to the first so as to close it when it opens and conversely, on
At rest, the driving fluid applies / sits on it.

fluid inlet valve which keeps the other lifted, so that the cylinder is only in communication with the atmosphere, If sufficient thrust is then exerted on the outer valve to apply it to its seat ,
the communication of the cylinder with the free air is interrupted and at the same time the other valve is opened, so that the working fluid arrives at the cylinder and actuates the piston. When we stop acting on the outer valve, all the valves are pushed by the working fluid. The cylinder is therefore exhausted by the outer valve, while the inner valve interrupts the engine. arrival of motor fluid.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section through the common axis of the valves.
Fig. 2 is a horizontal section along II-II of fig.l.
In these figures, 1 designates the chapel, 2 the chamber connected to the cylinder via the conduit 3, the other chamber 4 of the chapel being connected to the compressed air supply via the conduit 5. A cross-section guide 6 crosses the chamber 2. It forms a single piece with a valve 7, fitted with a spring washer 8, intended to come into contact with a projecting seat 9, provided under the wall which separates the chamber 2 of bedroom 4.
The opposite face of the latter chamber forms an outer seat 10, similar to 9 and intended to receive the elastic washer 11 carried by a valve 12. The latter is screwed on the outside to the chapel 1, on a threaded end stud 6 'of the cruciform guide 6. the length thereof is such that when one valve is in its seat, the other is moved away from its own. The internal valve 7 and its guide 6 are introduced through an orifice which is closed by means of the screw cap 13, after having fixed the external valve.
As already, explained at the beginning, when we bring. the valve
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
12 on its seat by exerting a thrust on it, the cylinder is isolated from the atmosphere and at the same time the valve 7 is opened, which allows the working fluid to access the cylinder. When ':' thrust ceases on valve 12, the latter opens, puts the cylinder to the exhaust, and at the same time closes valve 7, interrupts the flow of motor fluid.
The device which is the subject of the invention can for example be used to control the piston which opens and closes the barriers of a mine inclined plane or of a mine shaft, a carrier trolley or the shaft cage carrying passage the desired thrust on the external valve.
Of course, the invention is not strictly limited to what is described and shown, but can give rise to laughter. On the other hand, one and the same device can control several cylinders at the same time. In addition, the application of the invention can be extended to all cases where it is advantageous to remotely control the arrival and departure of a fluid under pressure.
