c'est-à-dire que les tenons 10 prenait dans les encoches 11, assurent un centrée pariai'.;

"Mold for shoes of rubber or a similar composite material". cation of shoes made of rubber or a similar composite material and used more especially for the molding of sandals made with the aid of an upper formed by two pieces attached to one or more soles by sewing, gluing, etc.
The mold comprises two parts, each of them comprising two juxtaposable mold plates and shaped to compress the two main parts constituting the upper and the heel counter. In order to obtain a perfect juxtaposition of the shells, one of them is provided with tenons preferably distributed at the four corners, tenons which take in corresponding notches provided on the other shell.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Liefs constituting the mold have a part formed so as to serve for the molding of a projection or rib forming part of the upper itself and constituting a welt for the manufacture of the shoe.
The invention will be described below with reference to the figures of the accompanying drawings, in which: Figures 1 to 6 illustrate the shells serving to mold the front part of the upper, Figures 7 to 10 showing the rear part, called the buttress .
Figure 1 is a plan view of the upper shell; Figure 4 is a section along II-II of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a side elevation of this shell; Figure 4 is a plan view of the lower shell; FIG. 5 is a section along V-V of FIG. FIG. 6 is a section along VI-VI of FIG. 4; Figures 7 and 8 are plan views and side elevation. rale of the upper shell serving to mold the second part of the upper; Figures 9 and 10 are plan and side elevational views of the second shell cooperating with that of figu res7et 8.
The shell 1 has at the four corners notches or indentations 2 in which take the tenons 6 suitably shaped on the shell 5 and which fit exactly in said indentations. The shell 1 has a bulge 3 which fits opposite the recess 3 'of the shell 5 and all around this molding passes a shaped strip 4 serving to mold a rib or welt forming part of the shell. upper.
A suitably cut rubber sheet is placed in the hollow of the shell 5; the shell 1 is applied to it, the centering of which is done automatically, and the part is vulcanized by introducing the two superposed shells into a vulcanizing press. according to figures 7 to 10, the two shells 8 and 9 are juxtaposed under the same conditions as shells 1 and 5

that is to say that the tenons 10 took in the notches 11, ensure a centered pariai '.;
of said shells for molding the rear part of the vamp., the central part may, on the other hand, be completed by ballastons 12 taking in corresponding notches of the opposite shell. These shells mold at the same time the tab or closure strip 7 that said sandals generally have. At the lower uord of this molded part is also obtained the welt uordure 4, just as for the front part of the sandal. The two molded parts allow the manufacture of sandals in the most practical conditions while ensuring a perfect and permanent shape for the shoe. the molds will preferably be in aluminum.
