<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Two-stroke engine with one or more cylinders applicable to al
Motorcycle, Automotive, Aviation etc ............
This invention relates to a two-stroke engine provided with a cylinder with two bores in which also operates a piston with two diameters. Between the walls of the cylinder and the piston is interposed a distribution sleeve.
The engine time occurring at the upper part, it is possible to obtain the suction of the fresh gases in an isolated chamber having a circular ring-shaped section. On the return, the piston is delivered and compressed. fresh gases contained in the intake chamber.
For this, the piston and the sleeve close the exhaust ports. ment and admission and free the delivery orifices of fresh gases in the explosion chamber.
The invention suppresses'
1) -the leakage of part of the fresh gases at the time of the exhaust of the burnt gases, the first being driven by the second, 2) -the additional compression required on all types of two-stroke engines built up to. this day.
The system therefore presents:
1) -A fuel economy, an increase in power due to the elimination of the prior compression of the fresh gases before,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
their introduction into the explosion chamber.
On the other hand, it retains the advantage of a relatively low price compared to 4-stroke engines by its number of parts reduced by 40%, while having a higher thermal efficiency and having the same advantages as the latter. type.
The attached drawing shows by way of example an embodiment of
EMI2.1
1'invent t ion In this drawing, I designates the cylinder with two bore diameters guiding the sleeve II inside which a piston III also with two diameters operates.
In accordance with the invention, a double cam IV mounted directly on the crankshaft V operates the distribution sleeve II by the rollers VI & VII mounted on the parts VIII secured to the sleeve II by the part IX of the sleeve II connected to the bolt % .Part VIII of the lower part is provided with a rod XI guided and guiding the spring XII which is intended to help the return of the sleeve II, so as to reduce the effects of inertia to the minimum, -The sleeve II in its upper part slides between the wall of cylinder I and the cylinder head XIII provided with part XIIII plunging into the cylinder of sealing circles XV
This sheath II is provided with 4 lights A.B, C.D.
In cylinder I there is formed a channel XVI intended for the passage of the fresh gas discharged from the inlet chamber XVII into the explosion chamber XVIII. on the side opposite to channel XVI of cylinder I, there is also a XVIIII burnt gas exhaust port connected to an exhaust pipe XX and a XXI port connected to the fresh gas inlet pipe XXII.
In addition to the regular sealing rings, piston III carries two large diameter sealing rings in order to tcd, @
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
ensure the perfect isolation of the XVIIo chamber
The described system works as follows
As shown in the drawing, the piston III is at full stroke when the explosion occurs, the piston III at this moment is driven towards the affixed stroke end. All the time that the latter continues its stroke until the crankshaft crankpin carrying the ball which communicates the movement to it has reached the angle point A., the .CI sleeve remains in the position shown in the drawing by means of the cams
IV & V.
rollers VI and VII of part VIII and accessories IX X-XI and XII * As a result, the exhaust port is open, the discharge port closed and the suction port open.
During this race, there was therefore the engine time in chamber XVIII, the admission of fresh gases into the chamber
XVII and the exhaust at full stroke, both at this time isolated. After this point, the sheath II through organs IV, XI, XII, VIII, IX & X goes down, thus put by the lights and channel XVI the XVII suction and compression chambers
XVIII in communication with each other.
Piston III continuing its stroke then feeds the fresh gases back into chamber XVIII, sit8t past pdnt B of crankshaft V which pushes piston IV towards the bottom of the upper stroke by means of the connecting rod, organs IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XIII make the sheath go back to its starting point that we took earlier, the inlet of the fresh gases in the chamber XVIII the explosion closes, the lights of 'exhaust open and a new cycle begins again.
It should be noted that the system, in addition to the advantages listed, allows the variation that could be achieved at the large diameter of cylinder I of the fresh gas intakes compared to the engine displacement which could give high compressions and which would be suitable in heavy oil and lean gas engines
On the other hand, the distribution mode allows @
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
also to give advance to the ignition in order to accelerate the speed of rotation, which is also shown in the following drawing.
So that the lubrication of the system is ensured perfectly, the orifices for introducing oil are made in the upper walls of the cylinder by spider tabs on the external walls of the sleeve and a series of holes allowing to gain the holes. upper walls of the engine piston.

EETEHDICÂTIONS.
In summary, I claim as being of my invention the following applications to the combustion engine: "The cylinder with two bores, the shape of the sleeve, the piston with" two diameters which allows the admission of fresh gases into an "isolated chamber and a single compression, "In addition to that the mode of distribution 'and the direct control" of the distribution members fixed on the direct drive shaft.
