L'invention comporte un montage perfectionné à roulement . à billes pour les arbres des appareils de pesage, caractérisé par la disposition d'un certain nombre de billes à l'intérieur d'un chemin de roulement constitué par un élément annulaire amovible en forme de cuvette, la surface adjacente d'un épaule= ment ménagé sur l'arbre ou d'une rondelle annulaire montée à frottement doux,pouvant se disposer concentriquement à l'arbre et appuyant sur un épaulement sur cet arbre, et une portée éga= lement ménagée sur cet arbre;

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

improvements to ball-bearing assemblies for weighing device shafts.
The invention relates to improvements in ball-bearing mounts for the shafts of weighing devices and the object of the invention is to obtain an improved ball-bearing assembly, more particularly of interest to the shafts of the indicator mechanism on automatic or semi-automatic weighing devices, an assembly which is of simple construction, efficient operation, and capable of being rapidly assembled.
The invention includes an improved rolling assembly. ball for the shafts of weighing devices, characterized by the arrangement of a number of balls inside a raceway consisting of a removable annular element in the form of a cup, the adjacent surface of a shoulder = ment provided on the shaft or an annular washer mounted with gentle friction, which can be placed concentrically on the shaft and pressing on a shoulder on this shaft, and a bearing also provided on this shaft;
the cage for the balls as well @
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
consisting of the cup, the shoulder or the annular washer and the periphery of the shaft is arranged and has the desired dimensions so that the balls are simultaneously in contact with the cup, the shoulder or the annular washer and the shaft at diametrically opposed points, the lines which join them are either parallel to the axis of rotation of the shaft or at right angles to this axis.
Other advantages and features of the invention will emerge from the description which will be given with reference to the appended drawing which represents schematically and by way of example one embodiment of the invention.
On this drawings
Fig. 1 is a view partly in section and partly in elevation of a piece of the shaft intended to support an automatic mechanism. matic weight, supported, in a ball bearing established according to the invention.
The frozen 2 is a partial section of the end elevation of the bearing and of a part of the shaft shown in fig. 1 seen in the direction of the arrow on this same fig. 1 The shaft 5 carrying a ¯mechanism automatic weight indicator of known type, is arranged to penetrate inside an opening made in an inwardly directed flange @ formed at the inner end of an annular element 4 arranged to be fixed to the inside the envelope enclosing the indicator mechanism.
The tree! is provided with a small shoulder ga arranged to form the support of an annular washer
5 placed inside the annular element 4, between the outer face of the flange 4a directed inwards and a cup 6 disposed in the outer part of the annular element
4. Washer 5 has the desired diameter to prevent balls
7 to exit the cage, but at the same time to allow it the necessary movement inside the element 4 to allow the passage of the end of the shaft 3 through the opening made in the annular element 4 during assembly of the indicating mechanism.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The marbles ?' are placed between the inner faces of the cup;.: 6 and the outer face of the washer 6 and they also bear on the reduced diameter part 3b of the indicator shaft.
The cup 6 is held inside the element 4 by a spring washer.! engaged in a groove 4b hollowed out in the internal wall of this element near its external end.
It will be noted that the thrust on the shaft 3 keeps the annular washer 5 in friction contact with the shoulder 3a provided on the shaft, so that the washer rotates with the shaft and fulfills the same purpose as a shoulder at this point.
In addition, the presence inside the element 4 of the washer 5 mounted with gentle friction allows the rapid assembly of the ball bearing as a whole.
As an alternative, the washer 5 can be omitted and the shoulder 3a of the shaft 8 can receive a sufficient depth to constitute a bearing for the contiguous parts of the balls 7, but the construction comprising the annular washer must however be preferred because it allows to use a weaker shaft and moreover it facilitates the initial assembly of the bearing.
