<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

A process for the release of agglomerated elements and a mold for carrying out this process.
The present invention relates to a de-molding process as well as to a mold for carrying out this process, the aim of which is to allow, by a very simple operation, immediate release from the mold of agglomerated elements obtained by compacting, tamping, or other analogous methods.
This process consists of moving the side walls of the mold away from the element to be released from the mold and leaving this element on the bottom of the mold made completely independent of the side walls.
The mold for carrying out this process must therefore have a bottom that is completely independent of the side walls and the latter must be able to be easily separated from the side faces of the molded element. This spacing can be easily operated by rotation around axes parallel to the edges of the mold, the axes being advantageously located outside the aforementioned edges so as to cause a detachment of the side walls of the mold over their entire surface in contact with the element. mold.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
During the preparation of the agglomerate, the mold according to the invention is held against the bottom. This maintenance can be effected by means of stops carried by the side walls and engaging below stops carried by the bottom.
When these stops are disengaged from each other after the manufacture of the chipboard by sliding the mold on the bottom, the chipboard can be driven onto a plate placed next to the bottom or it can remain on a false bottom which is arranged between the side walls and the bottom proper, this false bottom being driven at the same time as the side walls by means of a stop carried by the side walls.
The invention also provides for the means of maintaining the mold in a determined location on the bottom by engagement between one of the side walls and a stop which it carries, with a part stationary relative to the bottom in the direction of movement of the base. mold to prevent.
Other details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description of the drawings appended hereto which show in perspective, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 is a view of a rectangular mold.
Figure 2 partially shows the rear of the mold as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 3 partially shows the rear of this mold after opening.
The side walls 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the mold according to the invention and shown in the drawing can be separated from the side walls of the molded element by rotation around the chariot, - nières 6 whose axes are parallel to the sides. edges 7 located at the intersection of the outer faces of the side walls.
In order to maintain the side walls of the mold against the bottom 9 during the manufacture of the chipboard, the invention provides for the use of a closing device 14 integrating
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the faces 2 and 5 and stops 10 carried by the side walls 3 and 5 and engaged in grooves 9a with which the bottom 9 is provided.
Furthermore, a movement of the mold in the direction parallel to the grooves 9a is prevented by the use of parts 11 which can be engaged between the wall 2 and stops Sa which the latter carries, by rotation of the rod 11a in bearings 9b. These stops 2a can advantageously be formed by a curved part of the handle 2d with which the wall 2 is provided. The immobilization of the rod 11a in the direction of its axis can be obtained for example by means of pins 11b engaged in the rod lla near the side faces of the bearings 9b. The exact positioning of the walls of the mold in relation to the wedging elements is obtained by sliding the walls on the bottom until they are stopped by the stops 15.
To unmold an agglomerated bloo, the parts 11 are released from between the stops 2a and the wall 2 and the mold is made to slide on the base 9 by pulling by the handle 2d until the stops 10 have come out of the. grooves 9a. The agglomerated block thus slides on the bottom and can be brought onto a plate placed against the bottom and having substantially the dimensions in plan of the agglomerated block. Instead of sliding this block on the bottom of the mold, it can be manufactured on a false bottom 8 which is driven with the side walls of the mold thanks to the presence of a stop 4a provided on the wall opposite to. the one where the handle is.
Demoulding then continues by lifting the closing device 14 and rotating the various side walls around the hinges 6. As the axes of the latter are located towards

outside with respect to the edges 1 located at .. 'A ...' ... the intersection of the outer faces of the side walls, a
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
low rotation of the walls around these hinges immediately causes a relatively large detachment of the side walls with respect to the molded element. The magnitude of this detachment is indicated by the distance 12 which separates the walls 4 and µ in the position shown in FIG. 3.
The demolded element is then transported to the place of drying on the false bottom 8 or on the plate placed near the bottom of the mold during demolding. The same mold can then be used to manufacture a new chipboard.
The invention has also provided for the presence of edges 3a and @a on the sides of the walls 6 and 5 so as to better guide the mold when it is placed in the tamping and tamping machine. This guidance is operated between elements integral with the machine and not shown.
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiment shown and that many modifications can be made in the form and the arrangement of the elements involved in its realization without going beyond the scope of the invention. present invention.
