BREVET D'INVENTION..

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
celle où.. les canalisations affecteraient des Morues quelconques à serpentins, tubes à ailettes, e tc. ; celle où les canalisations seraient disposées dans un four, un foyer, etc.;

PATENT..
"Improvements made to temperature exchangers, in particular to those for heating".
Mr ARCAUTE (Jean) LATECOERE Air Lines, in TOULOUSE (Hte-Garonne)
France.
The invention relates to exchangers. of temperature: and it concerns more specifically (because it is in their case that its application seems to be of the greatest interest), but not exclusively, among these exchangers, those for heating.
Its aim, above all, is to make these devices such that, while having a cost price only slightly higher, they better fulfill the desiderata of their use, noted that they are not cumbersome and d 'a better calorific yield.
It consists, mainly, in establishing inside a capacity in which circulates a fluid with a temperature different from that of the ambient medium, at least one pipe, the ends of which open out respectively.

pacity, said pipe being arranged in such a way that the fluid of the ambient medium can enter and leave it.
It consists, bet. apart from this main provision, in certain other provisions which "use: The preference at the same time, and which will be discussed more explicitly below.
It relates more particularly to a certain mode of application, in particular that in which it is applied to liming, as well as certain sodas for the realization of said provisions; and it relates more particularly still, and this as new industrial products, the jenre devices in question comprising application of these same provisions, the elements specific either to their establishment, or to the. conversion of already existing apparatus into others comprising application of the invention, as well as installations comprising similar apparatus.
And it will be able, in any case, to be well understood with the aid of the complement of descriptian which follows, as well as of the attached drawing, which supplement and drawing are, of course, given mainly by way of indication.
Figs. 1 and ± of this drawing show, respectively in longitudinal axial section and in section according to 2-2 fig. 1 a heat exchanger established in accordance with a first embodiment of the invention.
The iig. 3 and 4 show, respectively in elevation after longitudinal section and in section according to 4-4 FIG. 3, a heat exchanger established in accordance with a second embodiment of the invention.
According to the invention, and more especially according to its modes of application, as well as those of the embodiments of its various parts to which it appears that preference should be given, assuming that vcuil- @
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
to establish it, for example, a heat exchanger more specially intended for the heating of premises, one goes about it as follows, or in a similar way.
It is assumed that there is a duct, for example vertical, discharging fumes at high temperature resulting from combustion in a fireplace, it is established inside said duct has at least one pipe the whose ends open respectively in orifices c, preferably at different levels, formed in the walls of said duct a ,, said pipe b, which can be formed, for example:
or, as shown in fig. 1 and 2 by a chamber b provided with pipes d opening into the orifices c and fixed to the walls of the duct a, ie, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, by a series of tubes b1, the ends of which open into the orifices ci and are fixed to the walls of the duct a., And, in order not to reduce the flue gas passage section, the :. part of the duct à in which the pipe b is disposed may have a sufficient enlarged cross section, it being understood that this part a1 can be removable, so as to be able to adapt easily between two parts of the duct a, thus as shown in fig. 1 and 3.
As a result, a whole is obtained, the functioning of which is sufficiently obvious that it is unnecessary to give additional information about it.
As goes without saying, and as moreover already emerges from what precedes, the invention is in no way limited to that of its. modes of application not more than those of the embodiments of its various parts which have been more especially indicated; on the contrary, it embraces all the variants, in particular:
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the one where .. the pipes would affect any Cod with coils, finned tubes, etc. ; one where the pipes would be placed in an oven, a fireplace, etc .;
one where the arrangement would be used to cool the temperature of the ambient medium, the pipes being able, for this purpose, to be placed in a cooler; one where the circulation of the fluid in the pipes would be forced, for example by means of a ventilator or the like.
