EMI1.1
Distribateur d ' engrais.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

EMI1.1
Fertilizer distributor.
Fertilizer distributors; of known construction, operating by means of an endless distribution chain, have various disadvantages, which are primarily wear and tear
EMI1.2
speed of the distribution chain, sas eoinça-ges, and also the fact that the supply of fertilizer to be spread is immediately above the distribution slot.
The short duration of the chain and its frequent jamming during operation are due to the fact that the chain is in direct contact with the fertilizer !, so that it is subjected to its chemical and mechanical action. On the other hand, it is impossible, due to the faulty arrangement of the distribution slots, to adjust the quantities of fertilizer coming out of the distributor with the required precision *
All these drawbacks are avoided with the fertilizer distributor which is the subject of the invention.
For this purpose, the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
distribution chain is provided with supply and distribution rakes, which are preferably interchangeable. it passes externally author of the distributor box, $ offer which is lost, for example, by two reues, and only the rakes plunge to 1 ' interior of * supply to bring the fertilizer to distribution slots in the slit along the edges of the box., These distribution slots may be in the bottom of the box itself, between the bottom and the side walls of the box . In the latter case, it is useful to make it possible to vary the height of the slit, which makes it possible to conveniently adjust the width of the distribution slots and, consequently, the quantity of fertilizer distributed.
The drawings show, by way of example, modes; realization of the object of the invention.
Figure 1 is a plan of a fertilizer box, partly broken, with distribution slots still being found inside this box,
Figure 2 is a front vertical section of the fertilizer box.
Figure 5 is a sectional view of a variant of a fertilizer box, a variant in which the distribution tents are located between the bottom and the parais: side of the box, and
Figure 4 is a plan of the bottom of the trunk of Figure 3 with the parts above line A-B removed.
The fertilizer box a is mounted on a trolley b, c provided as usual with a drawbar or other equivalent device not shown. In this box, there are, among other things, two nuts g receiving their movement from the axle of the trolley via two bevel gears: h. On these nuts, passed the endless chain !!., With articulated links, which passes author of the fertilizer box and which is placed in the field. At its lower part, this chain is used with feed rakes and
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
distribution which are appropriately directed and preferably Interchangeable.
These rakes enter the inside of the box by passing through slits and, when the chain is in motion, as they are mounted in a direction inclined to that of the movement of the chain, they supply the fertilizer; to distribution tents i which, in the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2 are provided in the bottom of the box, along the edges: of the latter and, in the variant of Figures 3 and 4, are located between the bottom and the side walls of the trunk.
To prevent the chain from tilting and also to ensure, in the example of Figures 3 and 4, a good supply of fertilizer to the distribution slots that go all around the trunk, the distribution rakes can be made; so as to penetrate into the distribution slots or be fitted with pins: or other equivalent devices,% penetrating into these slots,
In the example shown in Figures 5 and 4, the adjustment of the width of the slots; distribution and, consequently, the quantity of fertilizer falling on the ground, can be done conveniently by adjusting the height of the bottom m of the trunk; for this purpose, this bottom is carried by a threaded rod k which can be raised or lowered by means of a handwheel or any other equivalent device.
It is also useful to protect the chain which passes around the fertilizer box by covering it with hinged flaps l which can be fixed in their position, so that it is not exposed to clogging during operation. and that it is however always possible; to examine and verify it thoroughly.
