Abstract

Deze uitvinding betreft een werkwijze voor het verduurzamen van thermisch behandelde houten planken die gebruikt worden voor de vorming van een houten gevelbekleding, waarbij de genoemde planken eerst een station passeren dat voorzien is van één of meerdere mechanische borstelinrichtingen die langs het hout beweegbaar zijn voor het uitborstelen van de nerven, waarna de geborstelde planken vervolgens voorzien worden van een watergedragen transparante afwerkingslaag omvattende een bindmiddel op basis van een acryl-/alkydharscombinatie. Door toepassing van de werkwijze volgens de uitvinding wordt bereikt, dat na behandeling van het houtoppervlak op de bovenbeschreven wijze, het betreffende hout een hogere krasvastheid heeft en beter bestand is tegen beschadigingen
