En effet suivant une forme de réalisation particulièrement avantageuse de I' invention ces aubes H statiques que I' on appelle par la suite "aérocapteurs" sont orientées chacune dans une direction bien distincte et caractéristique de cet aérogénérateur laquelle est oblique par rapport à la direction radiale ;

"Nouueau sustème of aero [alpha] enerator to ae uertical"
The present invention relates to a new type of wind turbine with panels fixed on a vertical axis, around which blades channel the wind towards preferential directions of the system. This unique feature results in a significant increase in the efficiency of the wind turbine and its available kinetic energy.
In the bibliography relating to wind turbines for capturing and converting the kinetic energy of wind into electrical energy, two main groups of apparatus are distinguished.
In the first group, which has been most widespread for several years, belong the "wind turbines" whose driving element is a propeller generally with three blades mounted on a horizontal axis parallel to the wind direction.
In the second group belong the systems of "Darrieus" and that of Sa vonius, both with a vertical axis, on which certain derivative systems have been developed.
The Savonius aerogenerator consists of a single, curved S - shaped blade mounted along a vertical axis.
However, it was abandoned because of its very low yield. The Darrieus aerogenerator composed of two or three thin arc - shaped metal blades also mounted along a vertical axis is very little used because of its high inertia during starting.
The maximum efficiency of a wind turbine is calculated on the basis of the product of several efficiencies specific to all the elements involved in this type of installation, starting from the energy recoverable on the available kinetic energy of the wind, up to obtaining the final energy which is generally the electrical energy. In the case of a wind turbine, for example, the total kinetic energy of the mass of the wind which strikes the surface swept by I 'can only be recovered at best from fraction 1 6/27 (called the Betz limit). rotating propeller.
However, the overall efficiency achievable with a wind turbine is much lower than the Betz limit, taking into account the efficiencies of the different transformations such as the multiplier or gearbox, the alternator, and so on. 2005/0208
Finally we arrive at an electric energy yield in relation to the available kinetic energy of a wind turbine at its nominal speed which varies between 30% and 50% of the Betz limit. The Betz limit, which occurs in all windmills at different values, is the factor that most affects the overall efficiency of a horizontal axis wind turbine because it is based mainly on the wind speed downstream of the surface swept by I. helix and it is not negligible.
On the other hand part of the wind flow is not used as it passes through the spaces between the blades of a wind turbine.
Another major disadvantage of a wind turbine is the fact that the entire generator and all the elements necessary for the conversion of kinetic energy into electrical energy are mounted on the top of a pylon, which for a wind turbine marketed at a height of more than 40 meters
This disadvantage obviously worsens with the height of the pylon that we tend to increase, as far as possible, to take advantage of high wind speeds at high altitudes.
In fact, it must be taken into account that in the formula of the power supplied by an aerogenerator expressed for example in watts, the speed of the wind is at the cube of its value in meters per second.
This research is still ongoing in order to be able to use vertical axis systems which have some significant advantages, for example a moderate installation cost, and especially to achieve as high energy efficiency as possible.
Among other advantages of vertical axis wind motors it should be mentioned that for these devices the electric power generator is installed near the ground, which is obviously a major advantage because it reduces the cost of installation and facilitates the maintenance of all the mechanics of the system .
The new wind turbine system which is the subject of the present invention is also vertical axis. However, it differs totally from the Darieus and Savonius machines mentioned at the beginning of this text and their non-commercial variants until today. 2005/0208
The two parameters which are particularly optimized in this new wind turbine are: the mechanical efficiency on the one hand and the increase in kinetic energy available on the other hand with respect to the surface of the panels or blades exposed to the wind current .
The plan in the appendix shows a partial longitudinal section which illustrates schematically by way of nonlimiting example the aerogenerator of the present invention whose description follows in this text <>
The aeromotor of the present invention consists of the assembly of a vertical rotor, which in its lower part comprises the shaft B and in its upper part the motor structure in metal framework F on which are fixed radially G panels superimposed .
This perfectly vertical and balanced set turns under the action of the wind between the three following levels, of which:
the lower bearing A, fixed on the metal structure E, the intermediate bearing C, which supports the vertical load of the whole of the rotor F, is fixed on the platform of the metal structure D at a certain height of the ground. the bearing K placed at the top of the rotor F; it forms the guide of this rotor and mainly supports the lateral thrust of the wind applied to the panels G. The generator L for converting the cynetic energy, transmitted from the rotor F to the shaft B which is integral therewith, into electrical energy is installed at ground level and is coupled to the shaft B.
Su, the extension of the shaft B, just above the C bearing, a rigid coupling I is mounted firmly fixing the shaft B at the bottom of the column-F F in its axis of equilibrium. The column-rotor F consists mainly of the vertical uprights on which are fixed radially panels G.
At the top of the column F, in vertical extension of the axis of the intermediate bearing C, is mounted the third aforementioned support bearing K of the wind turbine. The panels G are slightly curved on their radial width and consist of a consolidated metal profile assembly.
Depending on the size of the wind turbine these panels are at least three in number and are arranged in angles of 20 [deg.] Or more, for example in number of four and are then crossed at angles of 90 [deg.]. 2005/0208
To facilitate assembly, each panel is prefabricated by means of vertical profiles and welded horizontal sections, the latter being bolted to the uprights of column F; on the cross sections in question the cover plates are securely fixed.
According to a particularly advantageous mode which characterizes the system of the present invention, around the radial panels G in a concentric circumference and distant from them are arranged vertical vanes H fixed to the ground; their preferred number of the invention depends on the size of the wind turbine.
All the blades H are of the same height which is slightly higher than that of the panels G.
The equidistant vanes H in their circular pattern each have a distinct, preferred position of the invention having a direction oblique to the radial direction. These planar surface vanes consist of two amounts of metal profiles connected by welded sections on which are fixed thin plates of synthetic material.
To make them more resistant to wind currents the vanes H are connected two by two by means of the metal bars at different heights and each pair is anchored to the ground thus forming a consolidated whole.
The blades H are important and characteristic elements of the aerogenerator of the present invention, they all have the same width which is determined as a function of the width of the installed panels G. All the sets of the pairs of vanes are interconnected with each other. their upper end by means of metal diametrical profiles J, with respect to the column -rotor F, in the center of which is fixed the third bearing K.
Also, the blades H are interconnected at different heights by horizontal round bars not producing significant resistance to the flow of the wind.
Thus, a consilidated assembly is formed around rotating panels G directing the wind current in optimum directions as soon as it enters the field of the wind turbine proper. 2005/0208
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, these static vanes H, which are hereinafter referred to as "air-sensors", are each oriented in a very distinct and characteristic direction of this aerogenerator, which is oblique with respect to the radial direction. ;
thus, the current of the wind striking the blades H face first crossing them divides immediately after in directions always the same which are the most favorable for the thrust and the rotation of the panels G and this independently of its direction initial .
As a result, the oblique peripheral channels formed by the air-pickers H channel the wind current, from any initial direction, towards advantageous directions to the thrust of each panel G as soon as it comes into rotation under the action of the current. the wind.
In addition, these airborne sensors H, installed at a distance from the panels G which characterizes the present invention, increase the wind-exposed surface of the wind turbine which results in a considerable increase in the kinetic energy of the wind available for the wind turbine. in question.
