Abstract

The memorial comprises a hollow column in which one or more urns containing the cremated ashes of family members are kept. A removable plate (2) made from e.g. stainless steel forms the top side of the column and displays an inscription and the names of the family members. The urns rest on another plate (6), beneath which another plate (5) can be pulled out to support a flower pot. Access to the inside of the column is via a steel door (8) with a lock (9). The column is bolted onto a plinth (11) made from e.g. concrete or marble.
