<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

La figure 1 montre en perspective les différentes pièces constituant un dispositif suivant l'invention. Ce dispositif comprend : une première pièce 1 présentant une face infé- rieure 2 propre à prendre appui sur une surface de support pour le rail R et propre à y être solide- ment fixée ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

at least partially horizontal of the element with respect to the first part.
According to a feature of an embodiment, the second part has a face cooperating with a face of the element and a surface cooperating with a surface of the first part, so that the relative movement of the element causes a relative movement of the second part with respect to the first part, said relative movement of the second part comprising a component of inclined movement, preferably perpendicular, with respect to the vertical and horizontal components of the relative movement of the element.
According to a feature of another embodiment, the second part has a face cooperating with a surface of the element and a surface cooperating with a surface of the first part, so that the relative movement of the element causes a movement relative of the second part relative to the first part, said relative movement of the second part comprising a movement component directed towards the rail while the relative movement of the element comprises a movement component parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rail.
According to another feature of yet another embodiment, the second part has a face cooperating with a surface of the element and a second surface cooperating with a surface of the first part, so that the relative movement of the element causes a relative movement of the second part with respect to the first part, said relative movement of the second part is a movement whose movement components are located in a horizontal plane

<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Special features and details of devices according to the invention will emerge from the following detailed description in which reference is made to the accompanying drawings.
In these drawings, - Figure 1 is an exploded view of a device according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a vertical sectional view of the device of Figure 1; Figures 3 and 4 are sectional views along lines III-III and IV-IV of Figure 2; - Figures 5 and 6 are views similar to those of Figures 2 and 3, showing the movement of the parts between them; - Figure 7 is a top view of another embodiment, and Figures 8 and 9 are sectional views along lines VIII-VIII and IX-IX of the shape of Figure 7.
Figure 1 shows in perspective the different parts constituting a device according to the invention. This device comprises: a first part 1 having a lower face 2 suitable for bearing on a support surface for the rail R and suitable for being firmly fixed thereto;
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
a second part 3 intended to overhang the first part 1 and comprising a lateral surface
4 coming into contact with a lateral surface of the rail; and a means for fixing the second part to the first part, this means comprising a third part 5 integral with or carrying a threaded rod 6 intended to cooperate with a nut 7.
The first part 1 and the second part 3 have cooperating surfaces which touch in all the relative positions of said two parts to transmit to the first part 1 lateral forces exerted on the second part by the rail, said surfaces forming an effect between them. corner.
These surfaces are for the first part: a first substantially vertical surface 11, having an inclination of 10 to 200 (for example 150) with respect to a vertical plane perpendicular to face 2 and forming an angle of approx. - Ron 450 with respect to face 4; a second surface 12 parallel to the surface 11; an upper surface 13 parallel to the surface
2 or forming an angle from 1 to 50 (advantageously from 2 to 30) with the surface 2, the presence of such an angle constituting an advantageous embodiment, and a surface 14 inclined relative to the plane vertical, this surface not being parallel to the surface
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
face 11 and advantageously forming an angle of about 450 relative to face 13.
The surfaces of the second part are: a surface 30 bearing on the surface 11; a surface 31 parallel to the surface 30 and bearing on the surface 12; a lower surface 32 intended to bear on the upper surface 13; and an inclined surface 33 which is neither parallel to the surface 11, nor parallel to the surface 14.
The inclination of the surface 33 relative to the surface 13 is advantageously equal to 1800 minus the angle existing between the surface 14 and the surface
13. With respect to a plane, perpendicular to the surface 13, the surfaces 14 and 33 are preferably placed symmetrically with an angle of approximately
450.
The part 5 has for its part an inclined surface 50 (surface having an angle relative to a vertical plane, but also relative to the surface 2) intended to bear on the surface 14 of the first part 1, and an inclined surface 51 (surface having an angle relative to a vertical plane, but also relative to the surface 2) intended to bear on the surface 33 of the second part 3. With respect to a plane passing through the axis of the rod 6 , the surfaces 50 and 51 advantageously extend in symmetrical directions.
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
Thus, when the nut 7 is tightened on the rod 6, the part 5 moves away from the surface 2. During this movement, the surface 50 of the part 5 slides on the surface 14 of the first part 1, by sort of the part 5 undergoes a translational movement towards the surface 11 of the first part. To allow this translational movement, the second part 3 has a groove 35 delivering passage to the rod 6. The longitudinal axis AA of the groove 35 is adapted to the relative movement of the parts 1, 3 and 5. During this movement, the surface 51 of the part 5 pushes on the surface 33 of the second part 3, thrust which is transformed into a relative movement of the second part 3 relative to the first part 1.
This relative movement of the part 3 is parallel to the surface 11 of the first part and is intended to push the lateral surface 4 of the second part 3 towards and on a lateral surface of the rail.
The movement of the workpiece 5 is a movement essentially comprising a component parallel to the surface 2 and a component perpendicular to this face 2. The movement of the second workpiece essentially comprises a component parallel to the component of the movement of the workpiece 5 which is parallel on the surface 2, and a component perpendicular, on the one hand, to the movement component of the piece 5 parallel to the surface 2 and, on the other hand, to the movement component of the piece 5 perpendicular to this surface 2.
Figures 5 and 6 show the relative movements of the parts together.
Figures 7 to 9 show another embodiment of a device according to the invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
This device is similar to that of FIG. 1, except that it has two parts 3A, 3B intended to overhang the first part 1 and comprising a lateral surface 4 coming into contact with a lateral surface of the rail. Each part 3A, 3B comprises a surface 30 bearing on a surface 11 of the first part, a lower surface 32 inclined with respect to the surface 2 but bearing on an upper surface 13 of the first part 1, and an inclined surface 33 which is not parallel to the surface 11 of the first part 1.
The part 5 has two inclined surfaces 52 relative to a (vertical) plane perpendicular to the surface 2. This part has a passage 7 for the rod of a bolt whose end is engaged in a nut 56 secured to the first part 1. By screwing the bolt 6, the part 5 approaches the surface 2, so that the surfaces 52 slide respectively on a surface 33 of a part 3A or 3B. This sliding movement is transformed into sliding movements of the surfaces 30 and 32 of the parts 3A and 3B on the surfaces 11 and 13 of the part 1.
It goes without saying that if one of the parts 3A or 3B has its lateral surface 4 which touches the rail, only one of the said parts 3A, 3B undergoes a movement. To allow this result, the part 5 has a groove 57 delivering passage to the bolt rod, so that relative movements of the part 5 relative to the axis of the bolt are possible.
