EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

EMI1.1
Medicine bottles.
The invention relates to medicine bottles, formed from a bottle body and a neck with an opening upwards.
Known round medicine bottles have the advantages of being able to be easily inserted into machines and of being easily labeled, but they have the disadvantages of taking up a fairly large space, and their grouping into packages is difficult, if not absolutely impossible, being given that it lacks a face necessary for this purpose.
The known bottles with three or four sides for medicines certainly have the advantages of saving space and being able to be easily grouped in packages, but they have the disadvantages of being very difficult to pass in machines with usual installations , the machine having to be designed in a specific way for this purpose, and despite this, one obtains only a relatively weak performance of the machine. With flasks having edges of 60, and in particular with flasks having edges of 90, significant problems arise when affixing the labels, in particular multilayer labels, since these cannot simply be wound on these edges.
This is why the object of the invention is to produce vials for medicaments, formed of a vial body and a neck with an opening upwards, with which the advantages of the round vials for medicaments and those are obtained bottles with three or four sides, for example square, but without the disadvantages of these.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This is achieved by the fact that the body of the bottle is octagonal.
Particularly solid dosage forms, such as tablets, coated tablets, capsules, pills and granules, can be stored in the medicine bottles according to the invention.
They can be marketed without external packaging, suitably in packages of at least 5, for example a package of 10 vials. Grouping into packages is easy to do.
It is also quite possible to apply even multilayer labels to the medicament bottles according to the invention, which is important since these labels must contain all of the text which, if not, is printed on the 'label attached to the package.
Suitably, the outer boundary of the bottom wall is octagonal, and the inner boundary is circular, and the bottom surface forms an area of a circle.
It is also appropriate that the bottom surface is offset vertically in the direction of the inside of the bottle and upwards, relative to the inside edge of the wall. The circular bottom surface in itself provides advantages during manufacture.
Preferably, the wall of the bottom surface is grooved, at least partially. This in itself gives the advantage of greater stability against sliding.
Suitably, the horizontal and / or vertical edges of the faces of the bottle body are rounded. This has the advantage that the medicine bottles are more pleasant to grip.
Suitably, the neck of the bottle has a round cross section. This in itself brings advantages

technical for manufacturing. According to one embodiment, the neck of the bottle has a thread for receiving a screw-on lid.
However, the bottles for medicaments according to the invention can also be designed in another way for their closure, for example the internal face of the neck of the bottle can comprise, at least on one part, a polished zone intended to receive the polished surface. corresponding to a cap with emery.
The medicament bottles according to the invention can be made from various materials, such as glass, acrylic glass or another synthetic material.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the embodiment which is described below, in relation to Figures 1 and 2 attached.
Figure 1 shows a longitudinal section of an embodiment of a medicine bottle according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows the bottom surface of this, seen from below.
The medicine bottle which is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises an octagonal bottle body 1 and a neck 2 having a round cross section with an opening 3.
The outer limit 4 of the wall 5 of the bottom surface 6 is octagonal. The inner limit of the wall 5 of the bottom surface 6 is circular, and the surface

background 6 forms an area in a circle. The bottom surface 6 is slightly offset vertically, upwards, relative to the lower edge of the wall 5. The wall 5 of the bottom surface 6 is grooved.
The horizontal and vertical edges 8, 8 'and 8 "of the faces 9 of the bottle body 1 are rounded.
The neck 2 of the bottle has a thread 10. You can
