Abstract
La présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation des enzymes dans l'alimentation des animaux. Elle concerne plus précisément l'adjonction d'enzymes à l'alimentation des animaux pour diminuer les rejets d'ammoniac dans l'atmosphère.

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> UTILISATION D'ENZYMES DANS L'ALIMENTATION DES ANIMAUX POUR REDUIRE LES REJETS AZOTES La présente invention concerne de nouvelles compositions pour l'alimentation animale. Elle concerne plus particulièrement l'adjonction aux compositions pour l'alimentation animale d'enzymes dans le but de préserver l'air et l'environnement. Il est connu par exemple selon l'article de Hesselman, K. et Aman P. paru dans Animal Feed Science and Technology, 15 (1986) 83-93 que la ss glucanase a un effet favorable sur l'alimentation des volailles, principalement sur leur croissance et surtout sur l'indice de conversion tout particulièrement lorsque leur alimentation est constituée d'orge. Cet article n'indique aucun effet sur l'environnement lorsque des enzymes sont ajoutées à l'alimentation animale. La présente invention révèle une nouvelle utilisation des enzymes, en plus de l'effet sur la croissance des animaux, lorsque celles ci sont adjointes à l'alimentation des animaux. En effet la présence d'enzymes permet de diminuer la quantité de rejets azotés et en plus permet une limitation des rejets azotés gazeux dans l'air. Comme les dérivés azotés sont nuisibles vis à vis de l'environnement surtout de l'eau et/ou de l'air, la diminution de ces rejets apporte un avantage considérable à la préservation de l'environnement. Il est apparu que l'adjonction d'enzymes permettait une meilleure digestion de l'aliment et ainsi permettait de réduire la quantité de matière azotée contenue dans les déjections des animaux. Ces déjections contiennent une quantité de matières azotées réduite d'environ 7% en poids par rapport aux déjections d'animaux recevant le même régime sans adjonction d'enzymes. Il est apparu tout particulièrement que les rejets d'ammoniac dans l'atmosphère, très importants lorsque les élevages sont réalisés en batterie étaient aussi réduits d'au moins 50%. Les enzymes qui peuvent être utilisés dans cette application sont EMI1.1 choisies notamment parmi les xylanases, les béta glucanases, les phytases. Ces enzymes ne sont citées qu'à titre d'exemples et nullement à titre limitatif. <Desc/Clms Page number 2> Ces enzymes ont une action marquée sur l'environnement lorsque l'alimentation est constituée majoritairement de céréales telles que l'orge, l'avoine, le blé ou le seigle. Les enzymes peuvent être apportées à l'animal sous diverses formes, on peut ainsi les utiliser sous forme pulvérulente, granulée ou liquide. Il est bien évident que lorsque l'enzyme est apportée sous forme granulée, il faudra vérifier la quantité d'enzymes encore disponible, apportée à l'animal, car la granulation a tendance à détruire une partie de ces enzymes. Lorsque l'enzyme est apportée sous forme liquide ou pulvérulente il faudra vérifier soigneusement l'homogénéité de répartition de l'enzyme dans l'aliment. Ces enzymes sont apportées selon une quantité pondérale variable avec l'aliment utilisé. Lorsque, par exemple, l'aliment est constitué principalement d'orge, on pourra apporter une quantité de béta glucanase comprise entre 100 et 200 unités par kilo d'aliment, ce qui représente environ un gramme d'enzyme par kilo d'aliment. L'alimentation supplémentée est alors distribuée aux animaux d'élevage tels que les poulets de chair, les poules pondeuses, les dindes, les porcelets, les porcs. L'invention sera plus complètement décrite à l'aides des exemples suivants qui ne doivent pas être considérés comme limitatifs de l'invention. <Desc/Clms Page number 3> EXEMPLE L'expérience est divisée en deux périodes expérimentales (P1 et P2) avec trois régimes par période (0,80 et 100 unités de ss glucanase). On effectue 16 fois le même essai pour chaque régime avec 45 poulets par traitement. Pour chaque période, les animaux sont alimentés de JO à J7 avec un aliment de croissance standard ; à partir de J7 ils sont répartis en groupe et reçoivent les aliments expérimentaux, jusqu'à J28, distribués sous forme de farine. La période P2 est effectuée sur les mêmes litières que P1, on remplace les animaux ayant 28 jours par un second lot d'animaux ayant 8 jours, et l'on effectue des mesures après 19,21, 26 et 28 jours.
