<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
25 A) of gesloten (fig.

Als men fig. 15 en fig. 9 vergelijkt ziet men twee verschillende situaties : in fig.
In fig.

Sliding windows and sliding roofs means all windows and roofs of which the sliding part (window plate, roof plate, sliding panel) that can consist of various materials (metal, plastic, glass, etc.) moves in a guided manner in order to create an opening in a given object (car, boat, caravan, building, conservatory, veranda, etc.) and to close this opening again and belong to those types that have been built according to the concept of: l. main frame, 2. inner frame, 3. sliding panel, 4. guides, 5. controls.
With all existing systems, integrated sliding roofs use water drainage pipes, the external electric control mechanisms are absent, the blocking system is not compact and IN the interior, there is no finishing system of the conductors, the sealing system uses a permanently closed main rubber, the transit system use of the surrounding material not belonging to the roof or window itself, the conductors are welded to the main frame, the suspension and the guidance of the sliding panel are made of flocked U-shaped rubbers, the shielding system exists

roller blinds, the ventilation system is absent, the internal finishing system consists of a non-variable whole,
the drive cable system uses single housing and is always under it

sliding panel is situated, there is no integrated tilting roof system and there is no integrated variable rear spoiler.
Existing systems have the drawback that the use of water drain pipes is an expensive solution from a price point of view, that internally placed electric actuation motors are unaesthetic and space-consuming, that blocking systems are not compact, unsafe and are located IN the interior, that a non-variable closed main rubber does not make much The universal character of the concept and no self-sealing effect shows that the passage of the drive elements from the outside to the inside through the surrounding material is laborious, time-consuming, technically difficult to perform and requires additional sealing and finishing, that welded conductors cannot be replaced, that a rubber guide inner lining does not allow blockage in the guides, making roller blinds less effective and space consuming,
that a one-piece internal finishing rubber is difficult to assemble and expensive, and that drive mechanisms located UNDER the sliding panel are less compact and difficult to qualify for such a concept.
The current inventions as indicated in the claims are intended to solve the disadvantages of existing systems and to introduce a number of novelties.
The integrated car sliding roof system can do without water drainage pipes because the drainage takes place via a level difference in the car roof plate: the roof part, located between the integrated guides and behind the closed sliding panel, is lower than with the known Systems.
The electrical and mechanical controls are located outside the interior (car, boat, caravan, building interior, etc.): the engine is placed under the windshield or in a spoiler, the pipes in the guides so that the interior remains intact.
The blocking system is compact due to its minimal dimensions, is located OUTSIDE the interior and is in the same plane or on the same
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
level as the sliding panel.
The sealing system has two separate sealing rubbers, the main rubber is adjustable in height, has tapered surfaces for better adjustment, is open and self-sealing and is mounted eccentrically for the benefit of sliding comfort.
The external finishing system uses slide-in or snap-in strips of an aesthetic and functional nature, a steel plate for attaching the conductor ends and the end cap and a special protective rubber under the conductors.
The compact feed-through system uses the flange of the main frame and the horizontal section of the inner frame to contain the drive shaft that connects the external drive mechanism to the crank naturally located in the interior.
The ventilation system makes it possible to ventilate the enclosed space even with the sliding panel closed, by making a part of the main sealing rubber variable, removable and using the resulting groove as a ventilation channel. The ventilation motor located under the windshield is a supplementary fan booster.
The fixing system of the guides on the main frame uses a multi-functional groove in the main frame, in which the guides are hooked and secured via a flexible section behind a pin of the flange of the main frame. The guides can therefore be removed or replaced at any time.
A second option for fixing the guides on the main frame is the pressing process.
Where no drive cable is provided, the suspension and guiding system uses a plastic conductor inner lining which is provided with blocking cams and blocking niches and with anti-vibration bridges.
The integrated light shielding system Either forms a structural unit with the sliding panel or is located in the side guide and can be operated independently of the sliding panel. The screen is made of non-transparent material and can be mounted as follows! either directly on and against the sliding panel, or directly under and against the sliding panel, or independently sliding outside the interior in a slot of the guide,
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
or independently slidable in the interior in a groove in the panel side profile.
The internal finishing system uses a combined inner frame, consisting of two different profiles: an aluminum base profile and a flexible, possibly rubber, pluggable lip. The basic profile must provide the required strength of the window (roof) while the rubber profile has a finishing, bridging and / or connecting function with the surrounding material, creating a perfect professional finish. Due to its special construction with hook and barb, the flexible lip has an unprecedented level bridging effect. Because the inner circumference of the main frame and the outer circumference of the inner frame are so different, a two-piece finishing rubber is much more favorable. The plastic finishing cassette is provided with notches and tear surfaces to accommodate the universal character.
The windshield can contain two types of motors: a sliding motor operating motor and one or more ventilation motors.
When using the drive cable, the anti-vibration system of the sliding panel consists of hollow flocked rubbers that have to absorb unwanted up and side movements.
The drive system with drive cable uses this concept where the drive cable housing and the sliding panel are on the same level or in the same plane or in extension of each other, reducing the total height (thickness) of the entire window (roof) to half or more.

roofs) of the universal type with the following systems described below:
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
A sliding roof system integrated in the car roof panel (fig. 2), in which the roof plate (44) has a level difference such that the top surface (179) of the sliding panel (11) does not protrude above the car roof plate (44): neither in closed nor in open position. The drive mechanism (71, 72, 73) is in the same horizontal plane as the sliding panel (11) and is located in guides (78) integrated in the roof panel. The sliding panel (11) slides above the rear lowered roof section (45) and of course remains completely outside the vehicle interior.
A drive system (fig. 3) located outside the interior of the sliding panel (11) with the drive cables in the guides (76) and the motors located either in the rear spoiler (145) or under the windshield (153).
A compact locking system (fig. 4) for the sliding panel (11) mounted as a unit at the front of the panel. It consists of a blocking profile (6) that is on the same level as the sliding panel (11), of a locking combination (30, 48, 7, 10, 9, 49, 8, 29) located in the profile cavities (38 and 39) and from a plastic conductor inner liner (5) containing blocking recesses (31) and blocking cams (41) in which the latch (30) automatically locks when the handle is not operated or released. (Fig. 5) Both shaft operating cams (23, 25) connected to the locking shaft heads (29) operate the locks (30). The axle control cams (23, 25) move together by pushing the operating lever (3) with the fingers of the hand. The operating lever (3) also carries the secondary lever (2) during its movement.
When the operating lever (3) is released, the springs (9) push the latches (30) back into the blocking recesses (31).
An external finishing system of the guides (fig. 6-7-8-9-11) that uses retractable or snap-in finishing strips (158) which may differ in material shape and color depending on the desired design. In Fig. 9, the use of a translucent finishing strip in combination with indirect lighting (159) is indicated.

The protective rubber (173) has a mushroom-shaped cavity that matches the mushroom-shaped foot (180) of the horizontal flexible conductor section (175). To fix the ends of the conductors (76) use is made of a steel plate (109) which is slid into the conductor (see fig. 6) and fastened through a hole (111) to the surrounding material. The steel plate (109) has a pin (112) under which the end cap (108) is clamped.
A double sealing system (fig. 8-9-14-15-25) consisting of two separate sealing rubbers. The secondary sealing rubber (116) is secured in the multi-functional groove (51). The main rubber (81) rests on a floating bottom (122) which is adjustable in height by means of adjusting screws (66). The main rubber is always mounted eccentrically and can be open (fig. 25 A) or closed (fig. 25 B). The closed main rubber always has tear surfaces (85), so that it can be opened if desired by tearing off one or more sections (fig. 25 C).
A compact drive shaft feedthrough system (fig. 9 and 10) 'using the flange (60) of the main frame (50) and the horizontal section (105) of the inner frame (76) to make the passage, the connection the outer drive sprockets (93) and the inner crank (99).

A suspension and guidance system (fig. 4-7). the sliding panel (11) moving in the guide inner liner (5) provided with blocking recesses (31) and blocking cams (41) to engage the latch (30) to lock and / or unlock the panel (11), of anti-vibration bridges (46, 47) or anti-vibration tabs (181) to prevent the panel (11) from vibrating and of sliding elements (12) with integrated stabilizers (13) which prevent the unwanted sideways movements of the panel (11) have to absorb.
A shielding system (fig. 11 -12 - 13 26) against unwanted light when using a glass plate as a sliding panel (11) that uses external and / or internal awnings, of awnings attached to the sliding panel and or independently operated awnings. The top large sunshield (124) is mounted in a panel side profile groove (125) and always moves together with the panel (11) but does not immediately rest against the panel creating an insulating layer of air (182). The top small sunshade (126) is immediately attached to the panel (11) as well as the inner small sunshade (127). The large internal awning (155) can be operated separately and simultaneously with the panel.
The screen (155) is supported by slats or bars (128) that slide into a slot (139) of the side profile (123), operated by a handle (157) and fixed at the rear of the panel (11) by an end profile ( 156). A fifth option for a sunshade mounting is provided by using the provided sunshade slot (177) in the guides (76).

A ventilation system (fig. 22 where the space between main frame (50) and sliding panel (11) is used as ventilation duct (a). A ventilation control cam (129) on the panel side profile (123) operates a ventilation lever (165) which in combination with the main rubber presses down the lip of the latter (fig.
24 B) creating a ventilation space (a) between panel (11) and main frame (50).
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
An internal finishing system (fig. 9-14-15-19-20-27-28) consisting of three variants: 1. a one-piece plastic finishing cassette (64), 2. a combination inner frame with second vertical section (169) with matching rubber ( 167) and pad cover (168), 3. a two-piece finish rubber (86 and 121). The finishing cassette (64) contains notches (118) with tear surfaces (117), so that the height can be adjusted according to the interior. Comparing Fig. 15 and Fig. 9 shows two different situations: In Fig. 9, two sections of the cassette are torn at the outer circumference (183). The combination inner frames (61) have a different type of plug-in rubber (86 and 167).
The inner frame (61) in both cases has a cavity (107) into which the rubber (86, 167) is plugged. ; In one case, however, a peelable second vertical section (109) is provided. In Figure 28, two parts of the second vertical section (109) are peeled off. Due to the special construction of hook (90, 106) with barb (102, 89), the rubber (86) sits extremely firmly in the cavity, so that the rubber lip (88) has a very large bridging effect (see fig. 20). Fig. 14 shows the situation where a two-piece finishing rubber (86 and 121) is used: this system is more favorable than a one-piece finishing rubber because the inner circumference (185) of the main frame (50) is much shorter than the outer circumference (186) of the inner frame ( 76).
A drive system (fig. 17-18-9-8-2) in which the position of the drive cable housing (71) is extremely important: namely NEXT to the sliding panel (11) BUT in the same plane, at the same level. This position of the drive cable housing (71) provides a wide variety of orientation options for the drive cable channel opening (73). Some of these options are shown in Figure 17. In some cases, the use of the two-pronged drive cable housing (Fig. 18) can be very beneficial. The two-piece drive cable housing (Fig. 18) consists of a primary housing (74) and a retractable or pluggable secondary housing (75).
The integrated tilting roof requires an additional mechanism that is actuated by the drive cable just before the sliding operation of the sliding panel (11) begins. The tilting operation can be
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
by turning the operating lever in the same direction as required for the sliding operation or in the opposite direction depending on the selected process d.
A variable integrated rear spoiler (fig. 3) which is activated via a control switch (150) in the interior by operating the rotary mechanism (147), which allows the position of the spoiler surface (145) to be changed.
An anti-vibration system (fig. 13 - 8) that uses flocculated hollow rubber profiles (132 and 133) to absorb both the vertical (132) and the horizontal (133) vibrations of the sliding panel (11). The entire system is located in the panel side profile (123).
A control system (fig. 8 - 9-11) of the outer part (173, 180) of the guide (76) and the front stop (77). Turning the adjustment screw (70) in or out lowers or increases the flexible horizontal sections (175 and or 187) t. o. v. the fixed immovable steel plate (176) such that the protective rubber (173) more or less fits against the surrounding matter (62).
In the conductor profile (76) and the panel side profile (123), sliding guides (188) and sliding contacts (189) are provided for the transmission of electric current when a sliding panel (11) with solar cells (electric energy source) is used.
