Verlichtingsinrichting.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>
<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>
<Desc/Clms Page number 12>
<Desc/Clms Page number 13>
<Desc/Clms Page number 14>
<Desc/Clms Page number 15>

Lighting fixture.
EMI1.1
----------------------- The invention relates to a lighting device containing at least one luminaire which in turn contains a pedestal, at least one thereon, around two transverse angled rotatable lampholder axes, means for revolving the lampholder about each of these axes at an angle, a power supply line for supplying power to the lampholder, means for adjusting the intensity of the current supplied by the power supply line to the lampholder a microprocessor that controls the means to rotate the lamp holder and the means to control the current intensity and a signal receiver coupled to the microprocessor,
which lighting device further comprises a command unit provided with a signal transmitter which can cooperate with the aforementioned signal receiver and which signals can be supplied via this signal receiver. give to the microprocesssor.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Such lighting devices offer the great advantage that their luminaire can be controlled remotely and, moreover, can operate according to a program stored in the microprocessor. The command unit can not only start or stop a pre-recorded program or a part of it, but can usually also modify the program itself.
In known lighting devices of this kind, the command unit / microprocessor ratio is a master-slave ratio. The microprocessor can only execute commands, so that the possibilities of these known lighting devices are limited.
The object of the invention is to overcome this drawback and to provide a lighting device of the aforementioned type, wherein the possibilities of use are considerably greater than with the known lighting devices.
For this purpose, the luminaire also includes a signal transmitter connected to the microprocessor such that the microprocessor can communicate with at least one unit containing a signal receiver.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The microprocessor can not only function as a slave but also as a master and thus send information to the signal receiver itself.
The unit with which the microprocessor of the luminaire can communicate expediently comprises both a signal transmitter and a signal receiver, so that the communication between the microprocessor and the unit can take place in both directions.
The intended unit with which the microprocessor can communicate can be a command unit with a signal transmitter and a signal receiver. The lighting device may also include at least two luminaires with a signal receiver and a signal transmitter, with one luminaire forming the intended unit relative to the other.
In a special embodiment of the invention, the lighting device comprises at least a signal guide in a wall which is located between the luminaire with a signal transmitter and a signal receiver and the unit with which the microprocessor of the luminaire can communicate.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
In this embodiment, the luminaire and the unit can be arranged in different rooms. If the unit is also formed by a luminaire with a signal transmitter and a signal receiver, the luminaires can communicate with each other in different rooms. Insofar as the unit is a computer, this computer can also be arranged in a room other than the luminaire. In a combination of both options, communication is possible both between the computer and the luminaires and between the luminaires themselves.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the luminaire comprises a detector coupled to the microprocessor.
This detector can be a smoke or fire detector or a detector for detecting movements and / or body heat. In the latter case, the detector may be comprised entirely of the signal transmitter, the signal receiver and the microprocessor.
With the insight to better demonstrate the features of the invention, hereinafter, as examples without any limiting character, some preferred embodiments of a lighting device according to
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
described the invention, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows a block diagram of a lighting device according to the invention; Figure 2 shows a side view of the luminaire from the lighting device according to Figure 1; figure 3 schematically represents a section of a part of a building in which a variant of the lighting device according to the invention is mounted. figure 4 represents a schematic side view analogous to that in figure 2 of a luminaire according to the invention but with regard to a variant in which the luminaire is mounted on a rail.
Figure 1 shows the block diagram of a lighting device consisting essentially of a luminaire 1, a portable manually operable command unit 2, provided with an infrared transmitter 3, and a computer 4 provided with an infrared transmitter 5 and an infrared receiver 6.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
The armature 1, of which figure 2 represents a side view, contains a base 7 in which an electric DC motor 8 is arranged. The motor 8, when receiving power, drives a shaft 9 located in the base 7, but protruding beyond the base 7. When the foot 7 is attached to a ceiling 10, as shown in Figure 2, the shaft 9 is oriented vertically and protrudes from the bottom of the foot 7. A second electric DC motor 11 is arranged in this shaft 9.
This motor, when it receives power, drives a shaft 12 which is alloyed with its ends in the shaft 9 but with its longitudinal direction directed transversely to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 9. The actual lamp holder 13 with a built-in lamp fitting is mounted on the shaft 12 . The motor 11 can rotate this lamp holder 13 through 90 degrees between the positions shown in full line and dashed line in Figure 2, respectively. A lamp not shown in the figures must be mounted in the lamp holder 13.
The power supply of the lamp holder 13 is effected via a power supply line 14 in which, in the base 7, a current intensity regulator 15 is connected. This controller 15 can control the current at zero, at maximum or at intermediate values.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
As can be seen from the block diagram shown in Figure 1, the motors 8 and 11 and the current intensity controller 15 are controlled by a microprocessor 16. This microprocessor 16 consists of a single chip with a cmos RAM memory connected thereto. This microprocessor 16 is supplied with a DC voltage of 12 volts through a power supply unit 17 which is connected to the mains via line 18. The aforementioned power supply line 14 is also connected to the power supply unit 17. The motors 8 and 11 are also supplied with power over this current supply line 14 via the switching units 19 and 20, respectively.
The microprocessor 16 controls the motors 8 and 11 through these switching units 19 and 20 to which the microprocessor is connected over lines 21. Via these lines 21, the microprocessor 16 also receives information about the position of the shaft 9 with respect to the base 7 and of the shaft 12 with respect to the shaft 9. To this end, a position detector 22 and 23, respectively, are arranged next to the motor 8 and 11, respectively. sends signals via a line 24 to the switching units 19 and 20, respectively, and thus over a line 21 to the microprocessor 16. The microprocessor 16 is also over
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
a line 21 connected to the current intensity controller 15.
The microprocessor 16, the power supply unit 17, the switching units 19 and 20 and the position detectors 22 and 23 are all mounted in the base 7.
The microprocessor 16 is remotely controllable and programmable and for this purpose is connected over the line 25 to an infrared receiver 26 mounted in the base 7. This infrared receiver 26 receives infrared signals from the above-mentioned infrared transmitters 3 and 5.
The microprocessor 16, however, can not only receive and execute commands, but can also issue commands or at least transmit information. To this end, it connects via the line 27 to an infrared transmitter 28, which is also mounted in the base 7. This transmitter 28 can send infrared signals to the aforementioned infrared receiver 6.
The device also contains two detectors with which the microprocessor 16 can communicate. For example, a smoke or fire detector 29 sends a signal over a pipe in the event of smoke or fire detection, but preferably
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
wirelessly as infrared signal over the infrared receiver 26, to the microprocessor 16 and via this microprocessor 16 and the infrared transmitter 28, if desired, to the computer 4 which can then give an alarm or call a specific telephone number. The second detector 30 serves to detect movements and / or body heat, or m. A. W. the presence of a person. This second detector 30 communicates in an analogous manner as the detector 29 with the microprocessor 16, which in turn can communicate with the computer 4 or possibly an alarm device.
The command unit 2 has a battery power supply and is designed in the form of a small portable tray provided with the necessary keys for giving commands via its infrared transmitter 3. This command unit 2 can enter it via the infrared receiver 26 and the microprocessor 16. - switching on or off or changing the light intensity of the lamp in the lamp holder 13, starting or stopping the program or part of the program stored in the microprocessor, changing this program or giving other commands, for example, to turn the lamp holder 13 around one of the geometric axes of axes 9 and 12.
<Desc / Clms Page number 10>
The computer 4, on the other hand, is usually fixed and connected via a transformer 36 to the mains.
In addition to the necessary push buttons for giving the same commands as the above-mentioned command unit 2, it is also provided with a reading screen 31. Obviously, the computer 4 internally has a processing unit with a memory so that it also receives incoming signals via its infrared receiver. 6 and which can therefore come from the microprocessor 16, from the command unit 2 or from another computer or can process a microprocessor 32 coupled to the computer. In any case, a two-way communication is possible between the computer 4 and the microprocessor 16. The two-way communication makes the possibilities for use very extensive.
For example, switching the lamps on and off can be ordered in function of the presence of a person, which presence is detected by detector 20 in the manner described above. For example, the computer 4 can not only command the lighting to be switched on when the presence of a person is detected, but it can also indicate this presence on its reading screen 31 and even, for example during certain hours of the day, give an alarm signal or a specific telephone number.
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
automatic calling when such a presence is detected.
The luminaire 1 described above has a lamp holder 13.
It is clear, however, that the same luminaire 1 can have several lamp holders which can either be rotated individually around two perpendicular axes by means of their own motors 8 and 11, or can be rotated together, for example by the same motor 8 and the same motor 11 .
In Fig. 1, two additional lamp holders 13, each of which is fed by its own current intensity regulator 15, but which are rotated by a common motor 8 and a common motor 11 are shown in dashed line.
While normally only a computer 4 is present, different command units 2 can be provided, so that different persons each have one. have such a command unit 2 and can therefore control the luminaire 1.
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
Not only can the luminaire 1 have several lamp holders 13 and the lighting device can have several command units 2, but this lighting device can also have several luminaires 1, for example a luminaire in different rooms.
In the latter case, the lighting device usually also has several command units 2, whereby the infrared transmitter 3 emits a code which can be identified by the microprocessor 16, so that one or more command units 2 can only control a certain luminaire 1 while operating from other luminaires 1 other command units 2 must be used. Usually, the computer 4 is common to all the luminaires 1 of the device. Thereby, the luminaires 1, because they are each provided with an infrared transmitter 28 and an infrared receiver 26, can also communicate with each other, or signals emitted by a luminaire 1 can be sent to the computer 4 via other luminaires 1.
In the latter cases, the infrared rays of the infrared emitters 28 and the infrared receivers 26 of the different luminaires 1 must be able to reach each other, while the infrared rays of at least one luminaire 1 must also be able to reach the computer 4.
<Desc / Clms Page number 13>
To the extent necessary, walls which could prevent this should be provided with passage openings or means 33 for guiding the beams through the wall. These means 33 can be formed by light-conducting plastic rods, glass fibers, mirrors or by a transmitter / receiver unit.
Figure 3 shows an application possibility of the lighting device. This figure 3 shows a schematic cross-section of a building 34 consisting of three rooms 35. In each room a luminaire 1 is mounted against the ceiling. The computer 4 is arranged on the floor of one of the chambers 35. In the partitions between the chambers 35, means 33 are provided at the top, while in the chamber 35 in which the computer 4 is arranged, above this computer also a means 33 is provided, for example an obliquely arranged mirror around the infrared rays of the luminaire 1 in the chamber to the computer 4 or vice versa.
Figure 4 schematically shows a variant of the lighting device according to the invention. In this variant, the armature 1 of Figures 1 and 2 is movably mounted on a rail 37, while in the base 7, which projects partly into the rail 37, a
<Desc / Clms Page number 14>
additional bi-directional electric motor 38 is mounted for moving the armature 1 back and forth across the rail 37.
The rail is formed in a known manner by a gutter-shaped profile strip in which the necessary electrical contact conductors are mounted with which the foot-mounted contacts 7, which in this case are sliding contacts, cooperate. The rail is provided with protruding tracks 41 at the bottom of the interior, over which run two pairs of foot mounted wheels 39, one pair of which is driven by the motor 38.
The motor 38 is controlled analogously to the aforementioned motors 8 and 11 by the microprocessors 16 built into the base 17. A position detector 40 in this case also provides the microprocessor 16 with information about the position of the foot 7 relative to the rail 37.
Instead of contact conductors in the rail and sliding contacts on the base 7, the power supply to the power supply unit 17 can be via a retractable conductor which is connected to a tap point of the mains.
<Desc / Clms Page number 15>
The lighting device described above is very easy to operate and very easy to program. The possibilities of control are enormous. The classic switches that normally become mounted on the walls at the entrance to the rooms are superfluous. The electrical wiring is much simpler.
