het algemeen na het afwikkelen feilloos en op gemakkelijke wijze op de gewenste maten kunnen afgesneden worden, zowel in de langsrichting als in de dwarsrichting van de afgewikkelde stroken.
Het is bekend dat het snijden van behangselpapier doorgaans met een aantal moeilijkheden gepaard gaat, dewelke vooral ondervonden worden door de niet professionele behangers of de doe-het-zelvers.
De grootste moeilijkheid die zieh bij het snijden van behangselpapier voordoet is uiteraard het juist afsnijden

ervan. Wanneer met de klassieke middelen wordt gewerkt, aldus met een schaar en meetlat, komt het menigmaal voor dat het

papier in dwarsrichting niet haaks is afgesneden, dat de , lengte onjuist is, dat de van de afgesneden stroken niet overeenstemmen, dat bij het doorsnijden in langsrichting geen parallelle stroken worden bekomen en/of dat een gekartelde rand door het onhandig hanteren van de schaar zich voordoet. Een andere moeilijkheid wordt gevormd door het feit dat de uiteinden van de afgesneden gedeelten, alsook het uiteinde van het van een rol behangselpapier afgewikkelde gedeelte, omrollen, waardoor snijwerk hieraan sterk gehinderd wordt, wat op zijn beurt weer in snijfouten resulteert.
Een mogelijkheid om dergelijke fouten bij het snijden te vermijden, bestaat erin dat alle uit te voeren sneden op voorhand met potlood of dergelijke worden afgetekend. Het is duidelijk dat dit echter een omslachtige bezigheid is en dat bovendien dergelijke merktekens soms achteraf zichtbaar blijven.
Professionele behangers ondervinden in mindere mate de voornoemde moeilijkheden. Niettemin dienen zij voor het snijden van het behangselpapier de klassieke meter en behangersschaar te hanteren, waardoor het snijden toch nog een tijdrovende bezigheid vormt.

De huidige uitvinding heeft dan ook als voorwerp een inrichting voor het snijden van behangselpapier of dergelijke, die toelaat dat door het gebruik hiervan in de meeste gevallen de voornoemde moeilijkheden en nadelen systematisch worden uitgesloten.
Tot dit doel bestaat deze uitvinding uit een inrichting die daardoor gekenmerkt is dat zij hoofdzakelijk bestaat uit een snijplank ; een langs de snijplank aangebrachte rolhouder ; minstens een evenwijdig boven de snijplank, alsook evenwijdig t. o. v. de rolhouder gemonteerde geleiding ; en een langs de voornoemde geleiding verplaatsbare wagen die voorzien is van een meshouder, zodanig dat een erin aangebracht mes met het bovenvlak van de snijplank kan samenwerken.
Volgens de voorkeurdragende uitvoeringsvorm van de-uitvinding vertoont de voornoemde wagen een meshouder die volgens twee standen instelbaar is, waarbij in een eerste stand de snijrichting evenwijdig is aan de rolhouder, dus bedoeld is om het behangselpapier in dwarsrichting door te snijden, terwijl volgens een tweede stand de snijrichting loodrecht gesitueerd is t. o. v. de voornoemde rolhouder zulks met de bedoeling in de langsrichting van het afgewikkelde behangselpapier sneden te kunnen uitvoeren. Om een snede in dwarsrichting uit te voeren, wordt de voornoemde wagen over het papier verplaatst.
Daarentegen, om een snede in langsrichting uit te voeren, wordt de wagen op een bepaalde plaats geblokkeerd en wordt het papier doorheen de inrichting getrokken.

Verder is de inrichting bij voorkeur met een aantal accessoires uitgerust, hoofdzakelijk om het af een rol gewikkelde papier te geleiden.
Met het inzicht de kenmerken volgens de uitvinding beter aan te tonen, wordt hierna, als voorbeeld zonder enig beperkend karakter, een voorkeurdragende uitvoeringsvorm van de uitvinding beschreven, met verwijzing naar de bijgaande tekeningen, waarin : figuur 1 in perspektief de inrichting volgens de uitvin- ding weergeeft ; figuur 2 een zijaanzicht van de inrichting weergeeft, meer speciaal volgens pijl F2 in figuur l ; figuur 3 de verplaatsbare wagen in perspektief weergeeft, hoofdzakelijk in een zicht volgens pijl F3 in figuur 2.
Zoals weergegeven in de figuren 1 en 2 bestaat de inrichting voor het snijden van behangselpapier volgens de uitvinding hoofdzakelijk uit een snijplank 1 ; een langs de snijplank 1 aangebrachte rolhouder 2 ; minstens een evenwijdig boven de snijplank l, alsook evenwijdig t. o. v. de rolhouder 2 gemonteerde geleiding 3 en een langs deze geleiding 3 verplaatsbare wagen 4 die voorzien is van een meshouder 5, zodanig dat een erin aangebracht mes 6 op geschikte wijze met het bovenvlak van de snijplank 1 kan samenwerken.

De snijplank 1 bestaat bij voorkeur uit een rechthoekige plaat van eender welk geschikt materiaal, zoals bijvoorbeeld hout, metaal of kunststof.
Ten einde de snijplank 1 op een tafelblad
7 of dergelijke te bevestigen, wordt deze voorzien van één of meerdere bevestigingselementen, zoals bijvoorbeeld de weergegeven klemhaak 8.
De rolhouder 2 bestaat uit een uitneembare stang waarover een rol behangselpapier 9 kan geschoven worden. De uitneembare stang is bij zijn uiteinden vrij opgelegd in met de snijplank
1 verbonden armen 10, die hoofdzakelijk in hetzelfde vlak van de snijplank 1 gelegen zijn. Om de omvang van de inrichting bij het opbergen te beperken, kunnen deze armen eventueel inschuifbaar t. o. v. de snijplank 1 zijn uitgevoerd.
De voornoemde geleiding 3 bestaat bij voorkeur uit een staaf met eylindervormige doorsnede die aan haar uiteinden vast bevestigd is aan op de snijplank 1 geplaatste steunen 11.
De voornoemde wagen 4 bestaat hoofdzakelijk uit een in dwarsrichting rond de geleiding 3 wentelbaar, alsook in langsrichting verschuifbaar freem 12 dat door middel van een vergrendelingselement, zoals een spanschroef 13, op de gewenste plaats kan vastgezet worden. Het freem 12 vertoont een basisplaat 14 die zieh in haar horizontale stand op een

zeer kleine afstand boven de snijplank 1 bevindt. Op deze basisplaat 14 is de voornoemde meshouder 5 aangebracht.
Zoals in figuur 3 in detail is weergegeven, bestaat de meshouder 5 bij voorkeur uit een lichaam waarin een gleuf 15 is aangebracht, waarin door middel van een spanschroef 16 het mes 6, dat bijvoorbeeld bestaat uit een afbreekbaar meervoudig snijplaatje, is vastgezet. Dit snijplaatje staat schuin opgesteld, zodanig dat het onderste uiteinde 17 tot onder de basisplaat 14 reikt.
De meshouder 5 is zodanig bevestigd dat hij twee standen kan innemen, enerzijds een stand waarbij de snijrichting van het mes 6 parallel is aan de rolhouder 2, en anderzijds een stand waarbij de snijrichting loodrecht gericht is t. o. v. de eerstgenoemde richting. Hiertoe is in de weergegeven uitvoeringsvorm de borstelhouder 5 wentelbaar bevestigd aan een loodrecht op de basisplaat 14 staande spil 18, een en ander zodanig dat de bevestiging ook toelaat dat de meshouder 5 tegen de kracht in van een elastisch element 19, zoals een drukveer, over een kleine afstand kan opgeheven worden, minstens zodanig dat het onderste uiteinde 17 van het mes 6 tot boven de basisplaat 14 komt. Verder vertoont de basisplaat 14 twee haaks t. o. v. elkaar staande gleuven 20 en 21 die precieze zittingen vormen voor het mes 6.

trekken, en door de verdraaiing ervan, kan het mes 6 naar keuze in dwars-of langsrichting in een van de gleuven neergelaten worden.
Om een goed snijeffekt te bekomen, wordt het mes 6 zodanig ingeklemd dat het onderste uiteinde 17 tot juist onder het snijvlak van de snijplank 1 reikt. Om zulks mogelijk te maken zijn, zoals weergegeven in figuren 1 en 2, in het bovenvlak van de snijplank 1 respektievelijk een dwarsgerichte nauwe groef 22, en een tevens dwarsgerichte bredere uitsparing 23 aangebracht. De groef 22 vormt een doorgang voor het mes 6 wanneer in dwarsrichting wordt gesneden. Wordt er evenwel in langsrichting gesneden dan laat de uitsparing 23 toe dat de wagen 4 op een willekeurige plaats kan opgesteld worden.
Om een goede geleiding van het papier 24 te bekomen, worden tussen de rolhouder 2 en de snijlijn. m. a. w. de groef 22, een of meerdere geleidingselementen voorzien. In de weergegeven uitvoeringsvorm bestaan deze geleidingselementen minstens uit een aandrukelement 25 dat het papier 24 in kontakt houdt met het bovenvlak van de snijplank 1, hetwelke hoofdzakelijk bestaat uit een door middel van armen 26 opklapbare staaf die door zijn eigen gewicht een drukkracht op het papier 24 uitoefent.

De voornoemde geleidingselementen bestaan bij voorkeur tevens in twee onderling verstelbare papiergeleiders 27, waarvan de onderlinge afstand aangepast kan worden aan de breedte van het

papier 24, bijvoorbeeld doordat een van beide verschuifbaar is.
Aan zijde van de die zieh tegenoverliggend bevindt aan de rolhouder 2, kan aan de snijplank 1 d. armen 28 een opklapbare geleiding 29 zijn bevestigd.
Om de snijbreedte in te stellen, is de inrichting van een of meerdere maatverdelingen 30 en 31 voorzien die zieh parallel aan de geleiding 3 uitstrekken. Volgens een niet in de figuren weergegeven variante kan ook op de geleiding 3 zulke maatverdeling worden aangebracht.
Naast de inrichting, meer speciaal tegen een van de steunen 11 kan een rolmeter 32 zijn voorzien die op nul staat wanneer het vrije uiteinde 33 ervan samenvalt met de groef 22 en die afwikkelbaar is volgens de lengterichting van het papier 24.
De werking van de inrichting volgens de uitvinding ken eenvoudig uit de figuren worden afgeleid. Zij bestaat erin dat een rol papier 9 op de rolhouder 2 wordt aangebracht, waarna het papier 24 doorheen de inrichting wordt geleid zoals weergegeven in figuur l. De onderlinge afstand tussen de

papiergeleiders 27 wordt op de breedte van de rol 9 ingesteld.
Het aandrukelement 25 zorgt ervoor dat het afgewikkelde papier
24 vlak blijft en goed in kontakt is met de snijplank l. Ook de opklapbare geleiding 29, die dan op het tafelblad 7 rust, draagt ertoe bij dat de eronder passerende papierbaan niet in de inrichting omrolt.
Om stroken papier met dezelfde lengte af te snijden, wordt de inrichting zodanig gesitueerd t. o. v. een referentiepunt, bijvoorbeeld een muur, dat de afstand tussen de groef 22 en het referentiepunt gelijk is aan de gewenste lengte. De afstand kan ingesteld worden door middel van de rolmeter 32.
Voor het snijden van het papier wordt de wagen 4 opzij gezet, het papier doorheen de inrichting getrokken tot het voorste uiteinde zieh aan het referentiepunt bevindt, en vervolgens afgesneden door de wagen 4 langs de geleiding 2 te verschuiven, waarbij er wel op gelet i. s dat het mes 6 zieh in dwarsrichting, m. a. w. in gleuf 21 van de basisplaat 14, bevindt.
Om het papier 24 in zijn lengterichting door te snijden, wordt de meshouder 5 over 90 graden gewenteld en wordt de wagen 4 in funktie van de te snijden breedte door middel van de maatverdeling 30 passend ingesteld. Pas hierna wordt het papier 24 onderdoor de wagen 4 en de geleiding 29 getrokken,

waarbij dit dan d. m. v. het stilstaande mes 6 wordt doorgesneden.
Volgens een variante is de inrichting van een niet in de figuren weergegeven verschuifbaar referentiepunt voorzien, hetwelke willekeurig langs het oppervlak van de snijplank 1 kan ingesteld worden. Tegenover dit referentiepunt kan telkens een bepaald onderdeel van een motief van het papier 24 geplaatst worden alvorens te snijden, zodanig dat de kans op het foutief afsnijden bij met motieven bedrukt behang nagenoeg uitgesloten wordt.
Bij de inrichting kan tevens een schuifmaat geleverd worden die niet noodzakelijk een maatverdeling bezit, waarmee de breedte van een te snijden strook kan worden opgemeten en waarna met deze ingestelde schuifmaat de wagen 4 langs de geleiding 3 kan worden ingesteld.
Het is duidelijk dat de inrichting een waterreservoir kan bezitten om voorgelijmd papier reeds bij het doorsnijden te bevochtigen. Ten einde het mes 6 droog te houden, kan dit reservoir tussen de groef of de snijlijn 22 en de geleiding 29 zijn opgesteld.
Volgens een bijzondere variante kan de snijplank 1 deel uitmaken van een met water of een andere stof te vullen, en

zodoende te verzwaren, kontainervormig element. Dit biedt het voordeel dat indien dit element niet gevuld is, de inrichting zeer licht blijft en gemakkelijk kan getransporteerd worden, terwijl wanneer het element wel gevuld is de inrichting zwaarder weegt en stabieler wordt.
In de meest voorkeurdragende uitvoeringsvorm bestaat de inrichting volgens de uitvinding in de kombinatie van alle elementen die in figuur 1 voorkomen. Zodoende wordt een bijzonder handig apparaat geboden, dat hoofdzakelijk voor de doe-het-zelver is bedoeld.
De huidige uitvinding is geenszins beperkt tot de als voorbeeld beschreven en in de figuren weergegeven uitvoeringsvorm, doch dergelijke inrichting voor het snijden van behangselpapier en dergelijke kan in allerlei vormen en afmetingen worden verwezenlijkt zonder buiten het kader der uitvinding te treden.
