Abstract

The device uses a magnetic field produced by a system placed along the direction of the track to be followed. The device comprises two magnetic sensors (2, 3) mounted on the vehicle which receive and detect the field. The system producing the field is a waveguide (1) which, for the determination of any sideways deflection with respect to the direction of the track, is connected to a radio transmitter having a frequency lying between 1 and 100 kHz. <IMAGE>
