Abstract
The invention relates to a method and to a device for treating liquid wastes that are composed of a base liquid and contaminations. For separation, a liquid waste/substrate gas mixture is evaporated to a wet substrate gas/water vapor mixture so that the base liquid evaporates and the liquid contaminations remain in a residual liquid portion. The substrate gas/water vapor mixture is fed to a concentrate separator (27) in which the residual liquid portion is separated as a concentrated substance. The substrate gas/dry vapor mixture is compressed and cooled down so that the base liquid condenses and is separated in a successive condensate separator (54). The substrate gas separated on the condensate separator (54) is circulated back to the liquid waste. At least a part of the heat provided for pre-heating the liquid waste is provided by the hot condensate and the hot concentrate in corresponding heat exchangers (13, 106) and an additional part of the heat supply for the evaporation to the wet substrate gas/water vapor mixture is provided by at least one evaporator/condenser heat exchanger (19, 24). The inventive method and device allows to substantially reduce the energy supplied as well as the losses in substrate gas and thus allows an effective and economical process management.
